Don't see any Hawks key position players...
Means little if you don’t have the players in the engine room that will kick it to them!

Just before young Will’s last contract geez the rumours were flying he bought a house the family connection was a sure thing ……. watching the Crows supporters rubbing their hands was absolute gold. He was never leaving. Now all of a sudden he ain’t that important we can do without him we’ve got it covered 😂

Don't worry we have young players on our list who will develop into quality midfielders... Soligo, Pedlar, Rachele, Jones & Taylor who unfortunately was injured this year... & will be supported by for our experienced heads Dawson, Laird & Crouch. I'm sure we we will continue to improve our young list too.

It's great that your developing a handy midfield, but it takes longer to build a spine. I can only see one decent young key position player on your list, so much work to be done before you become a finals threat.

I’ll keep it real simple for you.

Read it slow.

Sloane has spot in 22

Rachele has no spot in 22.

Is that easier?
I guess you thought Borlase came in for Pedlar last week too...

When a team makes more than 1 change to their line-up, it helps to actually understand who is replacing whose role... but that would actually require some IQ around the team.

This week we changed a forward for a forward... & a midfielder/wingman for a midfielder/wingman.

Rachele came in for Pedlar
Borlase came in for Butts.

Your poster boy in this debate has been that Rachele is the next guy to step into the midfield and that Adelaide are investing in youth.

Turns out that the much maligned(by his own supporter base) Sloane still offers way more than Rachele and any other young midfielder on the Adelaide list.

Mentioned several times that the likes of Rachele & Pedlar needed resting given a long season... not unusual for young players. Same with Michalanney a couple of weeks ago too.

Don't worry they are both quality for the long term... but keep micro-analysing each Crows weekly change like you think it impacts on the long-term development of players.

Found any young key position players apart from Lewis yet...

Macdonald unlucky.
Ward lucky.
Weddle the most unlucky defender.
Statistically the best of the unlucky few.

If you are basing it off statistics, Phillips is with them then.

Absolutely no idea why they named someone like Archie Perkins in the mids. It even has (FWD) next to his name. He spends about 8% of his time in there.

No micro analysis needed.
It stands out like dogs balls how reliant on Sloane, Laird & Walker the AFC is.

Rachele needed resting the week after a 2 week suspension :) :)

Soligo was dropped.
Rachele according to Nicks was going to be dropped pre suspension.

No hawks supporter on here that I’ve read has claimed we have a forward line that’s a finished product.
Being 2 years into a rebuild it’s early on. There’s certainly a clear plan though and we’ve seen some positives from Kosi again, Ryan had a nice day out v Saints and Pies.
Will McCabe will be on the list in 24 and is a super prospect.
It’s no secret that the next target is KP.
Our midfield already a widely regarded success. Thankfully.

4 Crows nominated for the 22 under 22.
3 Hawks.
1 North.
Harsh on Frosty to miss - he's got the brain of an under22.

Then it's strange how the Crows are the highest scoring team in the comp so far this season with no midfield kicking to that forward line.

The Adelaide midfield is 8th for inside 50’s.

Adelaide’s midfield has very little to do with Adelaide’s shots on goal and Scoring efficiency

Would prefer Dawson delivering inside 50m than any Hawks midfielder.

Most of out forwards are leading forwards rather than pack markers... & a huge reason we are #1 scoring team has been improved skill level with forward connection.

Perhaps the Hawks midfielders could watch our games to learn it's not just about getting the ball, but forward connection. ;)

Hawthorn midfield is 13th for inside 50's to 3rd worst scoring forward line
If only we had as good as a midfield as Hawthorn

and I thought a midfield kicking i50 to your forwards advantage was important, silly me.

Our young fella Jai Newcombe has that covered. 50 games in and doing this is crazy good.

Walker yes. Big hole when he finishes. Laird is good but I wouldn't say we rely on him. Putting Sloane's name in there just goes to show you haven't watched us this year.

Our rise has been on the back of young players doing well (but not dominating) and players like Dawson, Rankine, Murray, Hinge, Milera, Jones and Worrell stepping up

Again.. another silly analysis. You didn't learn you lesson the first time around.

Dawson & Tex are our most important players, with Laird not for behind. All consistent performers for AFC.

Sloane is nowhere near it & on the fringe of our side... which lost by many on this thread. Sloane has had some good quarters, particularly late in games... but also way too many poor quarters. At times he has appeared to be running on the spot. It's taken coaching staff til late in the season to realise he needs to be managed & good value as a sub when pace has gone out of the game.

I get how this thread works now.

Get “owned” in one conversation… have zero comeback… feel silly… so rapidly find another comment to comment on to hope no one notices.

Ironic posting at it's best lol...

Sloane in team. Rachele is not.

You made claim young hawks need a lesson in ball use going inside 50.

Jai Newcombe is second in hitting up a target that results in a score inside 50. Dawson is not in the top 5.

You swallowed your tongue. You then deflect.

For a poster that’s so defensive… goes so hard in defending via attack… you just ignore posts and replies that you have absolutely no comeback for.

Pathetic.

Your fixation on Sloane is pathetic... when he is no longer a key to our side. This is a thread about young talent. You refuse to acknowledge how the youngest defence in the AFL has stood up the past 2 weeks.

Your commentary of every Crows weekly selection changes is pathetic pretence you know what is going on at my club.

You are big on talking down my club with your Hawk attack dogs... Meanwhile refuse to even discuss your lack of key position players which you will need to address as your club will go nowhere just building a midfield.

It's clear why you are deflecting attention to my club, the highest scoring club which is still in the finals hunt.
