Always been that way, it's just a 400 page contest for 2nd placeNorth with a commanding lead in the polling
It’s a wonder why the AFL gave them handouts when Bigfooty clearly believes they have the best youth in the league.North with a commanding lead in the polling
its pretty simple when you win 12 games in 4 years despite who you have on your list you get something unfortunately in the past it would have been a top 5 pp pick now its an end of first round pick 29 and end of firsts next year which would have been around the same markIt’s a wonder why the AFL gave them handouts when Bigfooty clearly believes they have the best youth in the league.
And another first round pick and the dodgiest compo we have seen since a 50 year old GAJ recieved band 2.its pretty simple when you win 12 games in 4 years despite who you have on your list you get something unfortunately in the past it would have been a top 5 pp pick now its an end of first round pick 29 and end of firsts next year which would have been around the same mark
pick 29 this year, 2 end of firsts next year that would be around 29 and 30 after academy bids again which we cleverly traded for better picks this yearAnd another first round pick and the dodgiest compo we have seen since a 50 year old GAJ recieved band 2.
On top of 2 PP the year before.
There’s already compensation for ladder position; it’s why the draft is reverse ladder order. Priority picks aren’t given when your future is bright rather when there isn’t any incoming improvement evident. Point is you can’t have your cake and eat it too; you wanted handouts fine but you can’t also go around strutting that you have the best youth.its pretty simple when you win 12 games in 4 years despite who you have on your list you get something unfortunately in the past it would have been a top 5 pp pick now its an end of first round pick 29 and end of firsts next year which would have been around the same mark

Go for it but I think you can understand why opposition fans would think otherwise when your club had to request for AFL intervention to improve their list.Watch me do both
Unfortunately the senior players were garbageGo for it but I think you can understand why opposition fans would think otherwise when your club had to request for AFL intervention to improve their list.
And take Biggie Nyoun’s spot?!Mate stop shitposting, they need you down at Arden Street to play key back
Wouldn’t talk when you have James blanckAnd take Biggie Nyoun’s spot?!
That’s says more about you than Blanck.Wouldn’t talk when you have James blanck
Lol.I was super impressed with Nash's performance against the Crows this year but I watched him closely after that and he was inconsistent, seems to rely on a good matchup, others would know better than me as to why and if he can develop this part of his game.
There is some (understandable) under-rating of the Adelaide midfield, it has been and is still in transition from the old 2017 midfield to the new 2024 midfield, and it's taking a few years.
But when you look at the number of top draft picks Adelaide has taken here, along with our trades the past couple of years, we have addressed this and I expect a massive uptick this year.
Led by Dawson, all Australian midfielder, we have a tall mid. We also have Laird (2x All Australian) who is still in good form, but now ably supported by a growing team of premier midfielders - first rounders Pedlar and Rachele round out a potentially elite starting 3 with one rotation.
Further rotations include Crouch, Soligo, Rankine, and Schoenberg, and we have emerging talent that don't have exposed form. Billy Dowling and Zak Taylor are shaping up very nicely and looking at debuts this year. We don't know how good Charlie Edwards is, but he's a first-rounder, and we don't know what Curtin is beyond a defender who drives attack.
Our depth from there extends to Keays, Sloane, and Berry, while I'm also hoping Nankervis can transition from half back a bit like W. Day. Nank's games last year showed his flair for taking the game on and excellent decision-making in disposal. The last is Mitch Hinge, who currently is a wing but also looks to have the midfield ability, a lot like Dawson.
Our midfield in reality runs very deep, and we have a very good first 6, four who can rotate forward (Dawson, Pedlar, Rachele, Rankine), 2 who can rotate back (Dawson and Laird), and Crouch who can rotate off the bench. Soligo gets clearances but can be a wing and a forward.
If one of Dowling, Edwards or Curtin makes the grade, we are set for the long term. Taylor is also an excellent prospect albeit smaller.
I understand that much of this hasn't happened yet, but in this thread it's completely appropriate given the mix of youth coming through replacing the older players are already in the club. Our midfield is super exciting, with a strong depth of experience and youth.
Id say Rankine and Rachelle. Our future midfield depends largely on Pedlar and Rachele.
We’ve seen plenty of talented forward-midfielders build a tank and progress to being elite midfielders (Martin, Dangerfield, Petracca, Ablett etc). If one or both of those guys can do that then Dawson, Crouch, Soligo with those players, potentially add in Berry if he gets back on track, and it has huge potential.
How about a compromise: We keep doing what we're doing and you cry your little eyes out about itIf North fans keep wanting to argue that they deserve all these handouts because of how s**t they’ve been then they really need to stop pretending that shinboner spirit is a thing.
Imagine being a homeless man on the street begging for money and throwing the change at someone who gave it to you because it isn't enough.pick 29 this year, 2 end of firsts next year that would be around 29 and 30 after academy bids again which we cleverly traded for better picks this year
a second rounder last year and a third rounder last year both of which had to be traded
and the compo is what you get when a team pays a 25 year old player 850k a year and a mil next year
Or you keep doing what you’re doing and the rest of the league lose whatever little respect they had left for your club. How about a compromise: We keep doing what we're doing and you cry your little eyes out about it

Well we should have got the treatment a dozen clubs including yours have had which is a start of first round ppHow are you talking this down? You got 5 top 30 picks for nothing. That's multiple good drafts for most clubs that you received as free 'extras' (on top of 4 top 4 picks in the last 2 years). That's a massive leg up.
You remind me of when I use to cook and serve food to homeless people in a soup kitchen in the CBD. Nearly everyone was always thankful or at least respectful and then you'd always get one dude who after multiple helpings, would complain that their free dessert didn't come with cream.

Not a few pick 29s
this take actually explains a lotWalker, unlikely. It would depend on how the votes are considered. Nash was able to go head to head with players like Bontempelli and beat him, crows might not evaluate players like that.
