Agreed.Hard to find an effective argument with that.
Colin From Accounts goes alright. Haven’t seen season 2 though.Agreed.
Although I rather enjoyed the first three seasons of Rake.
For some reason, the main actor (forgotten his name) seems far better suited to this show set in an English seaside village, than to the Caribbean setting of Death In Paradise.Watched the first episode of Return to Paradise last night. Looks good, very similar to Death in Paradise.
I meant the Aussie version. The one with Catherine McClements and Lloyd GriffithFor some reason, the main actor (forgotten his name) seems far better suited to this show set in an English seaside village, than to the Caribbean setting of Death In Paradise.
Oh. Sorry to hear that. I didn't even know there was an Australian version.I meant the Aussie version. The one with Catherine McClements and Lloyd Griffith
Yeah it just started this week.Oh. Sorry to hear that. I didn't even know there was an Australian version.
I'm the opposite with Kaos, looking forward to the rest of itI finally finished The Offer. Fantastic show about the making of The Godfather. 8.5/10.
Episode 1 of Kaos didn't draw me in. Might give it a pass.
I honestly reckon Maisel is one of the most criminally underratted shows of the last 20 years, its brilliant and so many people havent seen itYeah, I had the same experience and avoided it for a couple of years. But it's an amazing show. Beautifully produced and the script is just sensational, perfectly performed.
I avoided it for ages cos I had in my head it was like a mystery show??? No idea where I got that fromI honestly reckon Maisel is one of the most criminally underratted shows of the last 20 years, its brilliant and so many people havent seen it
yeah I mentioned that too on the previous page. I got the vague impression it was another period thing like Miss Fishers Murder Mysteries or something. Had no notion it was about stand up. Maybe it was the covert double life thing, which in female shows often means a secret agent you wouldn't expect. Personally I've never had Amazon Prime so I guess those kinds of shows are a bit out of sight for me. Maybe hour shows like OITNB & Maisel get overlooked later in their run as well. There was definitely a lot more buzz about Fleabag at the time. I'm Dying Up Here was another overlooked period stand up show at the same time as Maisel which never really got its proper due.I avoided it for ages cos I had in my head it was like a mystery show??? I cant actually recall seeing a trailer for it PRIOR to watching it. My wife is an Amy Sherman Palladino stan and i THINK did the first season on her own and was like "This is a Phantom show" so let me catch up.yeah I mentioned that too on the previous page. Just about finished with S2 (the one where they go to Paris, the Catskills, out on tour, etc.). The telethon performance, that hilarious scene at Bell Labs with son Noah, Susie's whole plunger living off the land resort bit and friending the abducting heavies. Abe is starting to really steal the show as well, and Jane Lynch kills her guest bits. Brosnahan was also apparently the niece of Kate Spade and must've been filming some of this when she passed.
It reminds me of stuff like Michael Chabon and Jeffrey Eugenides, it's got a certain novelistic appeal to it.
I just watched The Perfect Couple.
Rubbish.
Nicole Kidman was wooden, bad acting imo.
Colin From Accounts goes alright. Haven’t seen season 2 though.
Yeah watched this, it's solid without being spectacular.Red Eye (TV Series 2024) ⭐ 7.0 | Action, Thriller

London police officer DC Hana Li is escorting Dr Matthew Nolan back to Beijing where he has been accused of a crime. However, on board flight 357, she finds herself embroiled in an escalating conspiracy and a growing number of murders.
Its a UK conspiracy thriller TV show where the story is completed in one season. Its recommenced that you binge watch this for the pacing but you do need to suspend your beliefs in what is happening at times. It has moments being cliched and predictable, but delivers a somewhat satisfying conclusion.
6/10
Thats a good summary and description. Its worth watching as UK show.Yeah watched this, it's solid without being spectacular.

Wentworth was great until it got utterly ridiculousYou've obviously never bothered with Wentworth or Total Control.

Think I made it through 3-4 seasons and then stopped watching due to exactly what you're referring to.Wentworth was great until it got utterly ridiculous
