I wouldn’t say take it out of the players hands but the system isn’t working.

The only defence to it potentially is Sicily was geared up to be the C but then injury struck but, this has to have an influence from the coaches otherwise McEvoy never gets picked.

How many strange choices in a season does it take to wonder if it is intentional?

Big Boy is a great player. But JOM should have been captain - he has years left in the tank and is a great leader on/off the field.

Don't bother thinking with this fella mate, he knows it all. Just ask him.

JOM has been so worried about his own game and body that giving him the captaincy would have been a bloody disaster.

Right now we needed someone who ain't gonna take shit and knows themselves well enough to not let it affect them.

Next time we need to appoint a Captain and when JOM isn't constantly stressing he may be ready - just thinking out loud with someone who does have half a brain.
