Who else wants to smash India?

DT Fanatic u sound like every Indian supporter that talks bout cricket.
Dish out the trash talk at the start of a series then once things start to fall apart or not go your way, you whinge, complain and want to take ur bat and ball and go home. Like last time out here.
I am glad that we will more than likely go into the series as underdogs, that will mean that indian supporters will have no more excuses if we do win the series.
I am quite intrigued to how this new look Australian team will go, it is exciting in my opinion to see what we have to look foward to.
As for McGain i believe that if the indian batsman dont show him respect he will take wickets. He is the sort of player in my opinion that if he gets on top he will be hard to get away.
Lee will always be a handful regardless what deck he is on. If Clark can get on his line, he will always tie the end up and will make life difficult for the Indian batsmen. Remember McGrath was a much more dangerous bowler in the test arena in India than what he was in ODIs. Clark hopefully can repeat this formula.
Well if push comes to shove M.Clarke mite be ready to repeat his performances against India. Has quite a good record against India with both bat and ball. :p

how did lee and clark go over here? they did alright but nothing exceptional. picked up wickets here and there but were never a massive threat. they failed to do anything in perth so what chance have they got in india?

It was ODI's mate. If we go by your logic Nathan Bracken should be in the Test side. And they failed to do anything in Perth? WTF has Perth got to do with India? If any pitch is the opposite of Indian pitches it is Perth.

traditionally we have had issues with off spinners and left arm spinners actually. murali/panesar go alright against us. on the other hand, we murder leg spinners, of any kind. mcgain's career could possibly be finished after this series.

As I said, wait and see mate. I'm not proclaiming greatness for McGain, but I wouldn't be writing him off just yet.

well considering hussey has rarely played high class spin on subcontinent pitches it's reasonable to assume he will be up against it. as for ponting, he averages 12 in india over 8 tests. enough said really. bar the test in adelaide he didn't look too confident against harbhajan here either.

So we're assuming Hussey will struggle? Get a clue mate, the guy is an excellent player of spin. Punter doesn't have form but I'll be willing to bet he'll make a lot of runs this series.

mate that was 20+ years ago.

only one was. the warne one wasn't what you'd call a howler. compare that to getting a huge nick through to the keeper on the other hand and not being given out....that is a howler.

so when was the last time we were favoured by an umpire to an extent that it actually cost the opposition team the series?

Wasn't a howler? Wasn't that a 3rd umpire decision that was given out in 0.3 of a second, despite the fact that it was completely obscured by the close in fielder? That’s 100 times worse than an umpire making an error in the split second they have in live play (ever umpired a game? It’s bloody difficult). No excuse for that kind of decision from a 3rd umpire.

And as for the Symonds nick, yeah it was a shocker, but Indian fans seem to continently forget the blatant Yuvraj caught behind in the previous test. What did Yuvraj do though? Got out in the next over. It’s not our fault the guy’s a useless hack who can’t capitalise on an opportunity. Nothing stopping Yuvraj making 150 (Aside from his lack of ability)

It’s also makes a good case study on what makes a successful team. When Yuvraj was given not out, the Australian players showed about 30 seconds of disappointment, then got back to work trying to get him out (successfully). When Symonds got given not out, the Indian players spent the next 3 hours moping around feeling sorry for themselves while Symonds belted them around the park.

Good teams generate more opportunities (ergo will benefit from a larger number of wrong decisions). They also make the most of any let offs they do get. Hence, they will always look like they benefit from the umpires.

The biggest question of the series, what will those big bad bullys the Aussies do to make those little piss weak, cry baby Indians spit the dummy this time?

Myabe someone will call Harbihjan "mad boy" or "bad boy" again, oh shock horror, how dare those nasty Aussies refer to a player as "mad boy". Fair dinkum Id love nothing more then to see the Aussies ****ing smash India, couldnt happen to a nicer team.

cricketers have lost my respect. they're all chasing money and play for their country grudgingly. screw them. screw 20/20. screw odi - like they are now.

the joke is most players in the world right now are SHIT -asutralia included. i will not see cricket until the likes of ambrose, waugh, warne, akram and donald come again.

cricket is just plain boring these days.

Strange question. Do I want to smash India? Is the pope catholic? Do I want the Saints to win the flag? Is Sehwag full of shit? Does Harbajhan bitchslap his own team mates? etc. etc.

They wont smash them, although I do have a feeling that the Aussies will get over the line. They simply have the mental edge over every team in the world......... it will be a close series, but i'm backing the Aussies to get home 2-1.

Expect Mike Hussey to be player of the series, he is in supreme form (as he is all the time)

i want to punch my tv when the new foxtel ad comes on.

collingwood, carlton>>>>>>>india.

"We will entertain you, we will feed you and we will beat you"

The thing is, if the Indian team does feed the Aussie team, the Aussie team will be lucky to come back alive.

I do for one. I'm sick of the constant bleating from their players and supporters (A few players like Sachin, Laxman aside) about the Sydney Test and our 'racism' (Yet they're the ones chanting Monkey in the crowd  ).

I'd love nothing more than a 4-0 rout (Though I think it'll be a lot closer than that) then to proceed to smash them in the ODI's.
Any luck?
