I was going to rejoin just to take my son to a couple of games, he's only 4 and loves the power. I got him a membership the day he was born. But, I don't want to part ways with a single penny if it gives them a financial benefit.

The club (I use that term loosely) is a joke. From Koch to Richardson Davies Hinkley all the way down....

I'm not as old as some people here but the 1990s was magical.. we didn't always have the best team but **** me... We gave as good as we got and more often then not... Won when it mattered.

That was port Adelaide for me.

This is the one that people seem to forget. Fans will often complain about media personalities being biased, but will also call people bad fans of their team if they don’t blindly accept what the club is doing. For most people, their enjoyment of a club goes wel beyond the vast majority of the administration being in place. We’re Port Adelaide fans, not Koch/Hinkley fans.

I'm the same as you and I'll always barrack for my club. And I'll always try and hold the team and the coaches and the administrators accountable to the clubs heritage.

But please don't deny me this avenue to vent. Otherwise I'll just curl up in a ball and cry.

Until we get our club back, it's the only place my voice gets heard in this AFL controlled franchise that used to be Port Adelaide.

I hate nearly every club I support 99% of the time.

Not going for the ‘Glory Grabber’ teams does that to a man.

When Port Adelaide started developing the 'gotta support the team no matter what' types the glory days were probably over forever, remember some of our biggest names had to face the members & take critique in the days of yore (insert Greg Anderson red faced as a member asked why he pulled out of a contest) & as our greatest coach once told a young Tim Ginever you can't fool the Port tribe they've been watching footy for a hundred years.

The modern breed accept excuses, get excited for over the hill veterans plodding on & believe the AFL is oh so hard when the reality is it was always hard which the various droughts for SANFL clubs show.
We won flags because we were driven, ruthless & mean. Congrats on accepting becoming just another South Adelaide/St. Kilda participant.. I'll get the ribbon for you.

It's not fickle to stand up for the culture of your club.

The players and the administration are not the club.

If any player is more upset by "fickle supporters" than losing, they aren't worth a goddamn thing.
