2 goals is better than 5 disposals & 1 score involvement.

Why didn't Ascroft get it with his 25 touches?

The goal blitz is something that never happens because it's bloody impossible, let alone in your first ever game. The AFL really should reward that burst rather than the boring debut that has happened 50 times. They just give it to the higher profile every time.

Yep I was going on game time which was around 3 mins 10 seconds or something.
Not going to go back and get exact figures but he kicked the first with about 4 min 30 seconds to go in the 1/4

Don't get me wrong Lalor's performance was deserving of the rising star and I thought he would get it but you have got to admit those stats put Reid in pretty elite company and I think it would have to have been close to a 50/50 call, if the shoe was on the other foot and Reid got the nod you would feel robbed too

Reid did nothing outside of the 4 goal burst. Was great to watch but couldn't go on with it unfortunately, although that's probably due to Longmuir's insipid coaching than Reid's ability.

Lalor was in everything for the Tigers to comeback and win from 41pts down.

If Tigers still got pumped, then no doubt Ashcroft would've got the nod.
