No, we wouldn't. Hire was a shit coach who gets overrated by our fanbase because he's a legend of our club. He had 5 AA quality defenders and we were the worst team defensively in the top 12 every time he was coach.

Prior to his ill advised comeback year he had a w/l of 55%.

He shouldn't be our coach but he's not a "shit" coach. How have you decided we were the worst team defensively in the top 12 everytime?

He's the only choice and we'd be fools to do anything other appoint him directly. We don't want to interview any other candidate and risk James feeling like he might not get it again.

He had an excellent and did **** all with it, outside of all the noise where nobody alive can possibly say that he didn't contribute to.

I’ve always been against Hird coming back as coach.

But, if he does go to Port Melbourne for a couple years and we are no better in two years, I would be more than happy for the club to pull the trigger.
