Yeah **** Brad why did you kick 1.9 in the last?
What he does do, is tell your team they're 8 years off being winners. That type of shit has a huge impact on a club mentally. Look at our actual worst enemy, Sam Mitchell. Do you think that's the kind of language he uses on his playing group? No.

It's okay though I hear he gives great advice about life after football and investing in housing properties

I’m hearing Hird turned down Port Melbourne due to a coup d’etat lead by a Sheedy/Dodoro faction to displace Brad Scott with the great man.

Not to mention, Menzie constantly getting selected

Caldwell went to Flanders and totally shut him down after the first quarter.
After Rowell gave him an absolute bath in the first.
And what was Durham/Parish/Merrett/Shiel doing all game?

You can mindlessly scapegoat the coach all you want. This is purely on the players.

Anyone blaming Brad for tonight needs a reality check.

I don't think he was instructing the players to kick 1.9 or let Rowell run around without an opponent.
Okay forget about the 4th quarter, what about the other three? how many easy goals did they get off of terrible transition defense, and our piss poor setups around the ground

Mindlessly scapegoating? I'm sorry that you're incapable of understanding other points of view, so much that you attribute it to people not having a brain.

Brad Scott has shown in this second half of the year that he's a long way off being a decent coach. He's done it with selection, he's done it with position selection, and he's done it with the messages he gives to the team publically. Mindlessly scapegoating though 👍

At some point, after 20 years of mediocrity and 8 full time coaches in 17 years, we might wonder if someone other than the coach is to blame.
For some, we are apparently not there yet.

Until then, If it makes you feel better, keep blaming the coach.

But blaming Scott for tonight's result is about as mindless as it gets. He didn't kick 1.9 in the final quarter.

Except that he literally told the players they could be a shot this year if they did the right things.

that comment will haunt Brad ill he finishes up.. 8 years sees even Zac Merrett finish his career

Interesting year for Scott as showed he can coach, however ultimately should have been more development focused.

Think he got sucked in more than us and wasted a opportunity to get more games into roberts, byran, caddy, tsatas, Hayes and hobbs.

Confidence in his ability but for a coach with a 8 year plan is incredibly stubborn and short sighted with selections.

Yeah let's just continue the revolving door of coaches because it worked the last 6 times.

The club and players have been this way long before Scott in the same way Hawthorn have been that way long before Mitchell was coach.

Mitchell at Essendon would be returning exactly the same results as Scott regardless of whether it's an 8 year plan or a 2 year plan.

Blaming it on that is just an excuse for bad players with a long history of playing in a bad culture. The list needs a huge overhaul to keep all the committed players and remove the ordinary players willing to play for 1 quarter a week.

Spoiler alert, there isn't enough to fill the best 22.
