Rookie upgrades aside as they aren't list acquisitions.
10 delisted including a lot of experienced depth. You've traded in 1, will draft say 3, 1 cat B Irish rookie. That leaves 5 players to pick up in rookie/DFA. It's a big influx of low probability speculative types.
Still not seeing a good list management strategy there.

Ben has dropped right off and won't even be in the top 30, while Lucas is a spud, nothing to get excited about

Sounds a bit like Harry Lemmey. Was probably in the top 5 players in his age group when he was 17

He's still on our list mate and still young, he'll play 200+ games for us.
He's already played 33 VFL games so it's not out of the question. I don't recall seeing such an ordinary depth player playing 12+ years without ever making it into the AFL side though

Of course you don't, Michael Tuck played 99 reserves games before he got a go and then played 400+ senior games.
The greatest outlier of all is great reason to expect big things from Lemmey

If he nominates F/S with Carlton he joins Carlton. Given his dad played here, he supports the Blues and is actively involved with training at the club and all the rest of it...
Yeah I'd say the chance is pretty much 0 of going to Richmond.

Ben pretty much stopped playing after the champs. Blues told him to ice up so we can make some other moves without worrying about an early bid.
Not saying he'll ever be a superstar but he hasn't dropped off performance wise. One of the most consistent performers in the draft.
