You do understand that when someone says something they aren't speaking for the thousands of people that support their club... right?

Because we have an interest in a very specific type of player at that top end. Someone like Langford or Smillie would be largely useless for us from a list fit perspective if they fell to us, despite being just as accomplished as the others in that mix.

We need a POD midfielder, not another big body inside. Pick 3 guarantees us one of the explosive, POD midfielders in the draft. Pick 5-8 does not.

Draft to get best talent, use trade and FA to fill list management gaps.

When pick 3 hits their prime years (normally give until 3rd-4th year when they have played 50 AFL games) why would you not be wanting a big powerful midfielder to take over from Cripps?

We'll have Walker by the time Cripps retires who's around 190cm, Cerra at 188, Ben Camporeale about the same.

If Elijah Hollands ends up on ball full time he's fairly big too.

A big body is not really a need for us, hence why we just gave away Kennedy for peanuts.
