Crystal ball stuff talking about now and this year ……. would Gunners and Bruest get a game at the Blues? Stupid question of course not as Blues are stacked in these areas. But these guys are Hawks depth today!!!!!!!! Ordinary as you call them. And non of our average at best mids would get a game at the Blues either!

And re Jagga playing round 1 that would never happen at the Hawks as we develop the kids to make sure they are not thrown into the fire. Bit of desperation by Blues if they play him as he is thin and lightly built. Having said that if he plays rd1 and plays well impacts early I will take my hat off to him and wish him the best.
Gunston and Breust would walk into Carlton's side as their 3rd and 4th best forwards.

Jagga plays round 1. Nothing surer.

No doubt it sold some clicks for Foxsports....

And it was North and Richmond...twice each.

Remember you went into your match against West Coast later in the season as gross underdogs?
Hmmm what caused us to go into the game against West Coast as underdogs...

Could it have been the fact that we had one player on the AFL list who wasn't picked in the travelling squad that week?

Didnt Watson debut in round 1 against the Bombers ?

Stat and player ratings comparisons didn't hold much weight given Moore spent quite a lot of time as a KPF when he first came in and came in a couple years earlier than Weitering, so I omitted them.Over the last 3-4 years I believe Moore edges out Weitering on the of them according to player ratings. Haven't bothered checking the stats for each season.
So you pick and choose when to use stats and player ratings, don't use them when they don't favour the Carlton player but spam them as evidence when they do! 🤣

Perhaps come join me, someone who places more weight on how coaches actually assess and rate their players.

Weitering has consistently been better than Moore for last 4 years, as has Dimma over Saad.

Probably missing 6 games through the year in 2024... I'd imagine that may have played a part

Because he is 30 and injury prone. Hardwick is 27 and not injury prone.

Not a knock on Saad, hes a dynamic player and has had a great career. But not many people are taking him over Hardwick right now.

Lmao his last 4 seasons

18 games
25 games
21 games
22 games

Injury prone? 1 poor season at age 30 isn't indicative that he's cooked. Our whole fitness regime was a mess.

Critical thinking- who did hawthorn have double ups against last season ?
Mmm
our doubles ups in 2024 (carlton and hawthorn) were remarkably similar - the only difference being we got crows twice and you got port twice, crows were not expected to suck as bad as they ended up doing

CARLTON: Collingwood, Geelong, GWS Giants, North Melbourne, Port Adelaide, Richmond (3x top 6, 1x middle 6, 2x bottom 6)

Hawthorn: Adelaide Crows, Collingwood, Geelong, GWS Giants, North Melbourne, Richmond (2x top 6, 2x middle 6, 2x bottom 6)
