1.5 goals to 0.9
1.2 behinds to 0.6
1.2 goal assists to 0.8
9.0 score involvements to 7.3

You love a good abacus calculation Fudger. You tell us what the % difference is between the two is with those stats!
So behinds are more important than possessions and disposal efficiency?

How about you consider ALL the stats, and not just the one's Martin was ahead in because he spent slightly more time forward of centre?

When people reminisce about Dusty do you think they'll remember some meaningless touches he got running around in the midfield or do you think they'll remember him tearing games apart in the forward half of the field?

Nicky's fluff possessions screaming for 1-2s in the back half will never compare to the impact Dusty had ahead of the ball. Was basically the best midfielder and full forward in the competition at the same time that year.

You might not have noticed, but Daicos has a tendency to do some pretty special things with the ball.

Like this:

And that wasn't even one of his two Goal.of the Year nominations:

How much of 2017 did Martin spend at full forward?

Easily has him covered and in a bottom 4 side

Swap teams, and so do the accolades

Sheezel's 2024 season versus Daicos's 2022 season

You mean Sheezel wasn't capable of taking a team from the bottom to the top like Nick Daicos did. Wow, End of that argument.

Yeah... He aint got s*** on this sorry Fudge.

And I hate Richmond almost as much as I hate the Pies...

Dusty was basically 7-8 years in the system by then. Nick has already done extraordinary things by his third year. I can't imagine what he's going to do once he hits that same age bracket.

Judd won a brownlow in his 3rd year and had considered to have peaked at that point. Not all players improve.
Fair call that you can't imagine.

Cripps doing pretty well in 4th place for average career Brownlow votes, but guess who's first? And a long way ahead. At 21 years old.

Cripps had 24 Brownlow votes after 3 years.

Daicos 77.
Now show me the graph for the past 3 years. You know, the one where Nick isn't leading the votes per game

Yeah, that's pretty poor from Nick.

Only leading every other player in the history of the game for average Brownlow votes, despite only being three years into the system.

But if we consider only the last three years of current players, many of whom have been in their absolute prime over that time, whilst including Daicos' rookie season, he's relegated to a paltry 3rd place...

It was you who said that Cripps hasnt been the best player for the past 3 years. If you are going to use graphs to support an argument, then show us the last 3 years

I never said Cripps hasn't polled the most Brownlow votes the last 3 years, but that isn't how one judges the best player.

His 2023 season, where he wasn't considered good enough to be All-Australian, stands in the way of your claim.

There are arguments for both Lachie Neale and Marcus Bontempelli to be ahead of Cripps over the last 3 years, and those arguments gain weight if we extend the time period any further.

Lachie Neale, for example, was All-Australian and club best and fairest in 2022 and 2024, and despite missing out in 2023, he was good enough to win the Brownlow in that year.

I've had plenty of bets the last few years.

My favourite was backing Carlton to miss the top 8 in 2022 with 4 rounds to go, at odds of $6.

So this is your last win, 2 years ago (no evidence of course), whilst claiming/wagering we wouldn’t win more than 8 games?

Ouch

I'm still chuckling at this.

Comparing Nick Daicos' second best season into a three year career with a season that you have proclaimed as 'one of the greatest seasons ever produced by a player', and there's only a marginal difference.

And Daicos did it single-handedly in a team that finished 9th, whilst Martin did it in a premiership team that were humming, where the gameplan was built around him.

One of the great self owns in the history of BigFooty.

Your claim , my claim
Let's see how the annual neutral Herald Sun top 50 rank the players to be revealed in the not too distant future. Happy to put an avatar bet on who will be ranked the higher player
