This would be an incredibly entertaining GF. Carlton and Freo have become somewhat rivals recently and always close games. The neutral supporter would love it. Carlton to break a 30 year drought or Fremantle first ever. What’s not to like.
I would be one of the very few there decked out in Freo gear.
Reminds me of the Richmond -GWS GF, when I was one of only three people in the box with GWS gear on.
I even had a Toby Greene badge :)
Obviously, scarf and badge found the bin on the way out.

Speaking of injuries. Any updates for us WalshWOAT. :$
Just business as usual for Walshy. I heard Nicky was missing from training entirely today?

Sorry to hear that Naicos has succombed to stress relateded injury - I hate it when serious talent gets compromised by the reality of inevitable wear and tear. Took Walsh 2 season and two surgeries to understand that his back injury was as much his own fault as the game's. The elite kids these days have put their bodies through a lot of wear and tear- before they are even drafted. Hopefully DeGoey can manage his own OP issues - these two players are pretty important for Collingwood.

I'm still waiting to see how many players at Carlton get the usual pre-season season ending injury - before the season even starts - maybe it will be delayed this year because the rehab group so far only includes C Curnow/McGovern/Acres/Saad/Sivagni/Durdin/Cottrell and they havent really had a great opportunity to do themselves in as yet.

Carlton signed a big bodied defender into VFL this year - if he comes good ( apparently not good enough to make it at Hawthorn) he might feature in teh second half of the year- as an SSP signing. Meanwhile a hyphenated name from Hawthron ios battling against a bloke whoahs played 20 games in ten years ( and currrently delisted) in Durdin for a 2nd KPP place - a position that Carlton has crying out for since Jones decided to leave being allergic to syringes.

Cant comment on Sayers - I'm still laughing.
We're tying ourselves in knots over that one, especially me.

His father lost a year to the dreaded PF, tried to play through it but eventually fractured bones in his foot (maybe unrelated). The many weeks he spent ion his back for the fractures led to a near full recovery, so there's hope, but its one of those nagging injuries.

De Goey is chronic, cannot ever be a full time mid. Best case is high half forward with important cameos.

Sayers, well who knows, but get around him. Its not loyalty of you only stick up for them when they are right. We stick up for ours right or wrong, and we look like idiots, but loyalty is its own reward.

I've dealt with Degoey's condition and it is awful. Even sneezing was a tremendously painful experience.

Can't stand the bloke but wouldn't wish it on anyone.

I've currently got plantar fasciitis . Mornings my feet hurt for around 20 minutes or so - I have to move around and stretch to get some sort if circulation down there in the feet. Once I get moving properly, the feet seem to be ok - i wear steel caps most of the day. Then i get home and roll my feet on a bottle of iced water for 30 mins or so and repeat this process every single day. It's sucks.
I'm sure painkillers would allow him to play at normal levels but it won't address the issue at hand immediately. Interesting to see which way they manage it

Jury is out until this new ex Collingwood interloper proves that he isnt Malthouse / Swann type - I'm not confident.
