Unlikely.

I see Brisbane, Sydney, Port and GWS make a grand final before the dockers.

Those 4 non Victorian sides are a better chance of making the 2025 AFL Grand final

Because they have one of the best lists in the league and an age profile that should lead to improvement. They were top 4 before a late collapse (at least partly due to injuries) in 2024.

Anything less than top 4 would be a big failure in 2025 and I'm not saying that to troll. Do I expect it? I'm not sure, based on Longmuir. Their list quality is at that level.

Mids, Rucks and Forwards are full of elite guys and Def isn’t quite as loaded but you have a bunch of good users in Durea + Baileys and Lobb has ended up being a good KPD

It looks better on paper than it does in reality.

Naughton and JUH are not elite. They don’t seem to both fire in the same season. Asking alot of Darcy early.

English sometimes turns to water despite the time that he should be damaging.

Libba is 32
Jones is 33
Trelaor is 31
JJ is 32
Bont himself is approaching 30.

A lot of young players are relied upon for this side to hold up and are unproven, let alone if injuries to those older guys occur.

Bevo has opted for a mix of the now and future and I don’t think its the second best by a long shot.
