The Dogs will need to land Crameri, need to land a couple of others.
I can't see them doing so, won't be the dogs.

Gold Coast fit the bill, we could quite easily climb into the 8.
With young, top shelf talent, our scope for improvement is great than most other sides.
We have done this to perfection, I expect a flag within the next 4 years.
We'll be in the 8 next year, 4 the year after and challenging strong after that.

In 2014 I can see the Demons improving rapidly, but I doubt they'll make the 8, but they'll get 8 or more wins, book mark that bishes.

I can't really see anyone having such dramatic improvement that Port had this year. but in saying that I think Gold coast, NM and Melbourne will definitely improve.

First we define what "doing a Port" is. I define it as doing something positive but equally as surprising and as unexpected. And, in that respect, I'll say Port will do a Port next year. People are tipping us bottom 8 (some top 8 but nobody has balls to put us top 4), but we'll surprise them all with a top 1 finish.

Gold Coast for me, best midfield in the comp in the next few years. Jaeger will get better next year and so will swallow, prestia, bennel.

By definition we can't answer this question because "doing a Port" means doing something nobody suspected would happen. The moment we suggest a team could do it, they can't surprise us like Port did. The question annihilates itself.

Yep, so really the only teams that can do a Port are St Kilda, Melbourne, GWS and perhaps the Bulldogs or Brisbane ie teams that are thought to have no chance or perceived to be in a shambles.

Which team will come from outside the top 8 and really stamp themselves on the competition? My tip is Adelaide, with a fit and firing forward line they will be tough to stop.
I suspect Adelaide may take time to hit their straps. Walker unlikely to be back for R1? Betts may take time to adapt to new club, etc.

Apart from Adelaide, maybe GC......then again, maybe not!

Definitely North!

Brisbane
New coach and new assistants (probably including Simon Black)
New board including the great Leigh Matthews.
The Lions are in a very similar position to what Port were at the end of 2012.

Backing in my mob to do it. I know what the squad is capable of when uninjured, couple that with another preseason under their belts (first preseason which will be 100% of a normal AFL preseason, 80% the highest we have gone so far), a breakout year from just one key forward (of which we have plenty young ones) and throw one J.Martin in to the mix - sky is the limit IMO.

I am probably not looking in to other teams enough though. Obvious bias. I think WCE will bounce back too. Adelaide to miss finals again.

Gold Coast IMO. Unreal midfield and they have some key talls that could really break out.

I think GC will make the 8 too, but they aren't really a "Port 2013" candidate cause most people expect them to be pretty decent. Port were considered plop before 2013, very few non-Port fans predicted them to do anything other than languish at the bottom (and it shows what we knew!)
