Agreed. With a bit of luck the Crows can perhaps cover much of Dangerfield's lost contributions via the return of Brad Crouch. If that happens then perhaps a couple of the players they picked up in the draft will improve the side overall. I am hoping in particular that Menzel and Seedsman can each find a good role and good form and make a decent contribution. The reputation is that Don Pyke has the ability tactically to make the most of what he has to work with.

Crows still have good forwards. Tex and Eddie and Troy now joining the team will be handy. Plenty of A-graders on the list

Cats won a Premiership without Gary
Hawks 2 premierships without Buddy
2016 could be a prelim without Danger

Port have the talent, question is if they actually live up to the potential. Dixon is a good addition to the forward line but he alone isn't going to take them from missing the 8 to top 4 like many are suggesting, whole team has to lift. (Predicted finish, 4th-9th)

Collingwood have grabbed themselves some amazing recruits over the trade period that should really boost their midfield, the question will be if they can lift in the other areas of the ground where they really struggled at times in 2015. (Predicted finish, 6th-12th)

Adelaide are a pretty big question mark, new coach and likely a new look team in general in 2016. Lost some star power with Dangerfield leaving but in return managed to pick up much better overall team balance hopefully meaning less of a reliance on inside ball winning to make up for a lack of outside speed. With the addition of Menzel, the Crows now boast one of the most potent forward lines in the comp but disposal efficiency and a still developing defense remain concerns. (Predicted finish, 5th-10th)

Well the team with the more wins / better percentage will finish higher. Looking at the draw, that should be Port.

Adelaide have the best forward line, ruckman and arguably the best defence. Collingwood have the best midfield.

Why are port supposed to suddenly boost up the ladder and why are we default last?

Because we are better than you. Are you really that deluded to not see that? 2015 was a blimp, I can't see us finishing lower than top 4 imo. You'll be 9th-14th with that draw and your list (losing dangerfield doesn't help)

Elaborate pls.

Port supporters will generally resort to 1870 when they feel threatened.

From wikipedia:

An inferiority complex is a lack of self-worth, a doubt and uncertainty, and feelings of not measuring up to standards. It is often subconscious, and is thought to drive afflicted individuals to overcompensate, resulting either in spectacular achievement or extreme asocial behavior. In modern literature, the preferred terminology is "lack of covert self-esteem".[1] For many, it is developed through a combination of genetic personality characteristics and personal experiences.

Google:

"an unrealistic feeling of general inadequacy caused by actual or supposed inferiority in one sphere, sometimes marked by aggressive behaviour in compensation"

Isn't it this type of over confident thinking all last summer from players and supporters alike that saw Port have a totally wasted season well that and a failure to be able to adapt a game plan that all other teams had figured out, we all think Port will bounce back and with the line up they have they should, but if you come out with the 2014 game plan again thinking it will just happen you will struggle to make the 8 again.

I was going to compare their stats over the finals but realised it wasn't fair since Cotchin only played in one finals game this year. Think he'll ever play multiple finals in a year?
As much chance of that as of Freo ever winning a flag under Lyon, in fact no reason we cant make top 4 next year and get two finals, we only missed out this year by 1 game even after a terrible start to the year.

Pav kicked one goal in the two games and had a total of 9 marks 27 possessions over the two games, Trent was even worse but really both failed dismally as leaders and may as well have been on holidays.

Don't see you doing it under Hardwick but admire your optimism

Cheers for the lesson bruh. Having the Crows as our only double up from the top 6 has me feeling threatened. #squarksquark
