I actually loved his press conference, full of emotion and honesty.nice little tribute to Vossy.
He won me over, thought he handled it beautifully.

I loved the press conference too. But at the same time it did make me wonder if he has it in him to again handle the pressure of a long season as head coach. He seemed really quite emotional.

Anyway, any possible candidate who watched yesterday is tweaking their presentation to make it sound more positive about our list.

I hope not. The difference between Damian Hardwick and Matthew Knights getting the Essendon job a number of years ago was that Knights did exactly as you say, whereas Hardwick gave a more honest and frank assessment of where Essendon's list sat at the time and look how that turned out. I've probably implied a fair bit there Tom, but I hope whoever we interview is frank in their assessment and doesn't come in and make out our list is better than what it actually is; 2009 should tell us that.

Roos pulls out at the start of the week, then announces he is 50/50 for Melbourne, talk about getting your pants pulled down on national TV.

Need to get this board stuff cleared up because Worsfold will more than likely be available and the board might pressure the committee to select him so they can say they got a premiership coach.

This is a massive mess, and watching the game yesterday I am so upset that Voss wasn't at least allowed to have a chat at the end of the year, because the options available, he would now get an extension off me.

But who?????
There are really only two options I see for him. Half a year at Essendon with Hird pulling the strings from behind the cloak of invisibility and handing it back on August 25th 2014, or taking us to the next level with an exciting bunch of signed and ready Lions not afraid to roll the dice with the best. No brainer and Harvey strikes me as having a brain.

Well it looks like Roos and Eade are out. I do not want Williams
Harvey said no too many times now.
Well done Angus get rid of Voss after the team starts winning and replace him with some untried assistant. Neald worked out so well for Melbourne.
I still get the feeling Angus said Roos was a done deal so they got rid for Voss.
As said before we will never know if it was the half ass handling of Voss's exit or Angus read the tea leaves wrong regarding Roos.

But who?????
Exactly. She could mean a number of things by that statement.
- He has applied for a position at another club
-She just hopes he can keep paying the bills
-She quite likes him being on the other side of the country.
:p

He could apply (if he hasn't already) for an assistant's job anywhere, so about 21 options between 3 senior positions and assistant jobs.

I'm starting to feel as if our assistant coaches will be the more interesting part if offseason rather than the head coach. I do have faith that lethal will pick us the best available person for the top job, but whether we keep our assistant coaches and/or add more will be interesting.

Had a chat with both Angus and Malcolm during the 1/4 time break, they thanked me for being a member/supporter.
No matter what people say about them on here, I found both to be pleasant and friendly.
Angus really got into the game cheering and applauding the boys. Like any supporter in the outer found a couple of umpiring decisions confusing.
They are human.... :)

God help us if we appoint Neil Craig...his pre game interview on Fox with Healy and Frawley was just so unimpressive. He himself has questioned whether he wants to be a senior coach and that being the case, why on earth would we be interested.

Not sure why a large chunk of this thread is wasted on Neil Craig.
He is 16th in the betting at $21.00 (a rank outsider), the constant bagging gets a bit monotonous.

Leigh Tudor & Scott Burns equal favourites at $7.00 - Tudor has firmed dramatically in the last few hours.

Can you fill me in on how Tudor is becoming more likely? I haven't seen or heard anything on it other than on this page.

With no real basis, I can see Adam Simpson in the role - I can just envisage him as a senior coach. A seriously smart operator on the field during his career and a former skipper means he understands what it means to lead a bunch of young men. Out of all the available assistant coaches, he's one that strikes me as being able to step up.
