Why Ablett was never given the captaincy

He is getting paid a fortune to lead the gc suns but three times this week i have seen him at the tennis. Last time i checked he suns were training in gc. But the selfish one wants to be a socialite, and be everwhere. He is all about self.

Selwood is all about the team and making sure gfc comes first.

Big deal doesn't play for us any more, may as well start a topic asking why Chris Judd wasn't given the Geelong captaincy. To be honest, I just want to be able to say in 5 years: "What a shame Ablett only played in 2 of our 5 Grand Final victories".

You're right that there was a reason he wasn't given the captaincy, that being that in 2010, he showed absolutely no loyalty or faith in his team mates. Essentially, he chose bags of cash over another AFL premiership medal.

My only disappointment last year was that in their post-grand final speeches, nobody said "Hey, **** you Ablett and **** the media who doubted us!"

Agreed, pathetic. Should have been closed three hours ago.

People were going on with the same stuff last year and he ended up being the AA captain. So I think the Suns will be happy enough with how he's going. But feel free to give them a call (or even go to their board on here) and see if you can get the ball rolling for him to be stripped of the captaincy.

I know some of you want this thread to die but I watched the 1st half of that tennis epic last night and it sure did look as though Gazza had placed a rather large stake of $$$ on Rafa as he was literally shitting his dacks when Rafa was down 30-0 break point chance for Novak during a certain period in that game

Fair enough, Gazza is good enough to be socialising and still be at peak fitness for round 1.
But I would have expected he'd be leading by example for the kids in his team.

If this was one of our players being seen in all the Sydney papers we'd be asking what the hell is he doing.

I'd like to know if gazza is in all the social pages on the gold coast too.
