Because the coach's job is to build, motivate, and make the team perform. It is his jb, if he can't do it then he is a failure and in most circumstances shouldn't keep his job.Just wondering why people seem to blame the coach rather than the team when there team is going badly?
If the players are playing that badly, they can be pulled from the team by the Coach. Thus when a team does lose and players play badly, its the coaches fault based on that, lack of motivation, tactical errors, etc etc. That is not always the case that is true, but you'll find over a long extended period of time it tends to be the coaches fault.

If a team is not performing, or not following the coach's instruction then that is ultimately the coach's respnsibilty. Part of the job is getting players to follow your instructions.
Their job is to get the players to kick the goals. There's only so much a coach can do. They don't go out there and kick the goals.
