Well they are doing their almighty best to become part of it. They sold their home ground and decided to shack up with Essendon and Carlton at the dome, maybe trying to get some info on how the big clubs do things properly. On the financial side, they sell home games interstate, obviously hoping to corner one area of the population. This effecitvely makes it look like they have a comparable membership to the clubs in the big 4, while in actual fact, they only have about 10000 members showing up to games while the rest have to watch it on tely from interstate.
The problem with all of that is, you have to be a sucessful club to demand respect. Looks like the Dawks have a fair way to go yet.
when did we go to the dome? we hate it there. We extended our matches in tassie to escape the number of matches played at the dome. And did you go to any of our home and away matches this season? there was a fair % of hawk supporters at the matches, and compare our two clubs, i bet we had more supporters then you at the matches between our clubs.
