If we never freakin wear it!!! By my recollection we have worn it in about 2 of our 6 or 7 away games to date in 2008. IMO it doesnt clash with many jumpers - certainly not as many as is mooted by the AFL (i.e. games when we havent worn it away from home, and have worn the clash/home jumper instead).

Studying the uniforms I said all week we would wear it (RED). And also the way we've been playing recently we deserve to wear it! - I have not been a very happy fan for a long time.

Realistically shouldn't ever have to wear an away guernsey except for Melbourne, and maybe Brisbane, for which we need a yellow based guernsey (front and back, not just front like the big crow). Why should we wear a guernsey other than that of which we won both or premierships if we don't need to. Sales of away guernseys aren't that high to suggest that money is the issue in this.

Yep, I've always said we should wear our normal "home" jumper in all games, except for a select few away games where we would wear a predominately gold jumper with perhaps a blue and red band across the front.

I absolutely LOVE the look of the home jumper with white shorts. Thats what we won two flags in as you mention.

For the record Raikonnen, the new away jumper has been worn three times.

Jumpers worn in away games 2008:

R1 v Western Bulldogs Away
R4 v Hawthorn Home
R6 v Carlton Away
R9 v West Coast Clash
R11 v Richmond Away
R13 v Brisbane Lions Clash
R15 v Collingwood Home

I think the away jumper certainly could have been worn today and against Brisbane. Hawthorn and West Coast I understand not wearing it. Not that I'm complaining though. I have only ever seen us play live in that jumper twice including today. Loved it!:thumbsu:

We wore the clash jumper vs Richmond. I remember it, because I was at the game. So 2...out of 7. Meaning that that strip does not have enough contrast with five teams we have played interstate? Bull shit. Doesnt clash with anyone except Brisbane, when home jumper should have been worn IMO.

Ah yes you are right. I was at that game too... how did I forget that?

Anyway it does just show how pointless it is having it. We only wore last years design twice because it was supposedly too similar to the home jumper. We change it and so far no difference. Of the remaining away games, I'd guess:

v Port Adelaide Home
v Sydney Home
v Essendon Away
v St. Kilda Away

Though I wouldn't be surprised if we wore the clash against Essendon and/or St. Kilda. I think the away would make more sense though with extra yellow.

I'll tell you what - I'm glad you wore your traditional jumper against us on the weekend. Away jumpers are a waste of time; there is no clash between our jumper and yours, so there's no reason for you guys to wear something different.

Its quite simple i posted in an early thread, on the Tuesday after the Carlton game when Johnny Reid was taking calls on 5AA a caller rang up and said she couldn't see the player numbers on our away guernsey when she was at the ground and then Reidy said the club had noticed that and has sorted it out with Adidas for the 2009 season and with the 'new' material and style we're getting in '09 for our guernseys the numbers would either be changed to yellow or the back from red to yellow he then went on to say that the Crows would either wear their home guernseys with white shorts or the red clash guernsey. Hope that clears things up :thumbsu:
