Why have the Olympics lost their appeal, or have they?

Lukin ran drugs from his tuna business, has convictions. .
Can you please supply links to these convictions. I see 1 conviction in 1986 where he was fined $96 . Please supply facts supporting your assertion he ran drugs from his tuna business

Interesting story.

Regardless of what was found at the AIS, weightlifting could not be in a sorrier state if the program moved to South Australia.

Another day, another phial-OK accusation, this time that drug paraphernalia had been found in a room used by members of the Australian team during a training camp at the Australian Institute of Sport.

Meanwhile, Belinda van Tienen will compete for Australia in the 69-kilogram class despite accusations she distributed banned drugs. She denies the allegations and can compete while no charges have been laid.Which is just as well, given the Australian team is shrinking faster than Dean Lukin did on his famous diet because of the withdrawals and disqualifications of suspect or banned lifters

He got busted with a few ounces of pot, an ounce of hash and done for resisting arrest. he plead guilty. Here you are acting like a right tosser over a convicted druggy. i must of upset you somewhere else and you're really struggling with it.
1986. He was fined $96 at a time when SA laws allowed for the possession of minor amounts

Retract your assertion he was a drug runner

I don't think there is hate for her. But she is the chef de mission (which is a wanky enough term in itself*) and she has had more publicity than probably every Australian athlete combined.

*not her fault she's taken up a position with a wanky name

It's like if we kept hearing about the person who books hotels and gyms and so forth for the Ashes tour. And we didn't care that much about cricket.

She also seems like an annoying rich eastern suburbs person. Type who'd kick up a formal protest about a 6-unit development because the growing population should all live in the outer suburbs or elsewhere nimby. Then lobby the government to increase funding for giant slalom so Tiffany from Canterbury can achieve her Olympic dream which definitely isn't frivolous spending.
