No, I'm just sick of the current social media narrative that goes entirely like this:

Criticism of Islam = Islamaphobia

Criticism of Judaism = Anti-Semitic

Criticism of POC = Racist

Criticism of white people = Progressive

White people/culture are certainly deserving of a lot of criticism for the way our ancestors recently treated indigenous cultures and the way certain societal standards are still implemented today.

it doesn't mean other groups get to pull the victim card when fair criticism is leveled against them.

Here's a video you may/may not have seen for an Asian discussing this exact thing.

Just on this video, it's likely that this is painted as popular narrative.

It isn't.

It's noisy pissed off (rightly) minorities that have this attitude. If it were true that the majority of minority groups had such disdain for white people, well then society would look much worse than what it is now.

I'm not for one minute dismissing that this attitude exists, none the less it only exists a minuscule minority of those minorities. Certainly not the norm, rather the exception.

I used to care more about Muslims then I read on the internet that white people are the real victims.
So I cut down on my caring about Muslims and used that caring instead for white people victimhood.
So every now and then, and for no reason, I allow myself to get angry when I pass a mosque or brown people and lament how that mosque and those brown people represent my oppression as a white person.
In that moment I say to myself "I am the real victim".
