Do we know how many vehicles the police were in? I'm seeing on Wiki that two officers were from Tara and two from Chinchilla. If in the one vehicle it might have been a situation where two were being dropped back to their station and Wieambilla was on the way?

Two from what I read.

Where did you get the information that the cops knew someone in that house was anti police? From all media accounts that I've seen 'There were no firearms registered to that address and there was no intellignece to suggest anything like this could happen.'

The Train brothers were in to conspiracy theories, they said a bit or a lot over social media which people are only now uncovering and some of it might look like it should have been flagged but they don't come across as much different to many others from what I've seen, social media is swamped with it. And these people on the files were cleanskins, one an ex school principal.

I'm speaking from first hand experience from dairy farms all the way through to large cattle stations which I've visited, travelled through and worked on. What % of these swamp dwellers on social media post under their real names though, like Gareth Train, or someone masquerading as Gareth Train appears to have done?

I'd have thought that people posting deluded crap bordering on psychotic, using their real names (as opposed to pseudonyms), would be considered as low hanging fruit, when it comes to Police and Security service personnel deciding who to allocate their scarce digital and physical monitoring and deeper dive resources on. Assuming that they don't already know the real name/ID of most Australian legit account (not a bot/AI) posters that are behind online social media and discussion forum/blog account pseudonym names.

Alternatively, if Gareth Train had already been flagged for his social media rants, maybe that he was posting under his real name, had reportedly been working for the Queensland child protection and education departments, had no licensed firearms or a criminal record (assumed at this early stage), he was categorised as no known threat.

I daresay that people in Australia ranting anti-police, Sovereign Citizen, or survivalist crap on the internet, or at protests or speaker's corners, and down the pub, are going to be more closely monitored, and categorised as potentially higher risks of violence, from hereon. With the issue of State, Federal and Security Services (Domestic and International) info sharing on higher risk individuals, being key to attempting to avoid and reduce the risk of incidents like the tragic deaths and injuries to Police and a neighbour of the deceased accuseds, this week near Chinchilla.

Not sure if they had phone signal there but someone from the family may have left messages to the effect of 'If you don't call me back by tomorrow I'm calling the police to do a welfare check' and/or the police have left a message.

I saw reports that the female police officer was frantically texting her family before she got out safely, whether or not those texts were delivered straight away wasn't stated.

Large property, perhaps they had cameras set up around the place particularly ingress and egress points.

I worked with a hillbilly from bum **** nowhere in SA who had cameras strung up everyone around his property. If a possum farted, he would be alerted in the Pilbara at work and have a live feed of what was going on.

Maybe by having the gate locked and forcing them to jump over it and in their minds, enter illegally, they reasoned it made the coppers fair game.
