The only part I hate is the half hearted shit, bordering on softness. There was an example when the ball was landing just outside the 50 metre arc, there he stood waiting for it, flat footed as the bulldogs player hit it at full speed then he tried a half arsed tackle. He could have taken the ball on the half volley if not out of the air, it looked as though he wanted the bulldogs to have it so he could tackle, then he didn't even stick that.

He shanked a few kicks but it doesn't bother me if it's after a long run into the forward half. Needs to learn from Rosa, he changed himself big time in this regard so it's not too late.

Another insipid performance. Can't defend, no endurance so can't push up the ground. Wants to move back to Vic so let's delist him and see if anyone goes near...

Agree. Except for the last bit. Yep no one will want to go near him with a pole from as long as Subiaco to the MCG. Clubs who missed drafting him in the first round of 2008 dodged a massive bullet

Really? Isn't he contracted for at least another year? Don't mind if we traded him, but haven't heard the 'homesick' rumours.

Let him play out the year, then I'll assess where he's at.

Where we should start though, as I said to a mate of mine and I've been a Smith supporter, is to sit him in the tape room for 24 hours showing Josh Kenndy, yes our FF, sprinting past him to tackle Dahlhaus. After that is burned into his memory, ask him if he thinks he could have beaten JK in that chase if he'd pulled his finger out of his arse? If he seriously says yeah, sure I can beat JK, then we have a greyhound match at training, where Dahlhaus is released and JK and Smith have to chase him down. Once he's beaten JK a few times, maybe he's getting serious.
Otherwise he's now going to be the guy that was the step ladder for Jezza' mark.

Smith would get a 28 day stand down and be required to run a satisfactory trial for failing to chase.

anyone defending him take note
- he doesnt hit contests with speed (flat footed)
- he shy's away from physical contact when he is rather large
- he hasn't used his pace to his advantage since 2011
- 3 in every 5 kicks are turnovers
- he runs to the wrong spots
- he has no intensity
- his decision making is beyond stupid

Sorry Swannies but you might want to re-watch that. Smith went to the boundary and chased the player with the ball. Dal got the ball forward of him and Kennedy was further inboard and in the position to chase. Smith had another two players between him and Dal.
