There will be 6 players cut the most you would think.

You would think 4 gone for Draft

Bannister
Edwards
Hartlett
Bentick

Then 1 for rookie Aaron Joseph and 2 for Jeff Gartlett but it might have cost him this season this week a promotion and could stay rookie.

Hadley and Ohailipin probably saved themselves and Wiggins also and makes the list stronger,Cloke the other guy.

Anderson and Fisher are signed for 2010 season at least while Johnson contracted.

Caleb Tiller might get dropped after a year, yes i know it's 1 year but it's happen at other clubs to late round picks. This wouldn't be bad news for him because he would get rookied and i really don't think he would get picked up by another club at this stage. This is only a suggestion to keep the list stronger as i like to give Tiller a go.

I would keep Jacobs definitely as a rookie again because he got delisted and re rookied again and can have another year or 2 there,Stanton not sure.

Bentley,Pfeiffer,Hill i would clear out and Ellard we probably don't need.

Jake Edwards if good enough could get rookied along with Tiller for sure if his name got there.

Yes, he will. He's an 18 year old kid who was never expected to play senior football in 2009.

Look elsewhere. Do you honestly think Cloke & Wiggins would be retained above an 18 year old forward (and replacement for Fev or Fish) who we've yet to give a game? Cloke is our 5th best ruckman. As for Wiggins, much as I like his work, he'll struggle to make our team once we blood O'Keeffe.

I can guarantee you six players will go before Caleb does, at this point in time IMO the list would look like this:

Jordan Bannister
Cameron Cloke
Adam Bentick
Jake Edwards
Adam Hartlett
Simon Wiggins

Of that list the only one with a chance to save themselves is Wiggins, but the others i think are definitely gone. Joseph and Jacobs will get promoted as they both need to be either elevated or delisted. Garlett will stay on the rookie list and will be the nominated rookie next year, and will be promoted at the end of 2010.

Caleb won't be delisted, he's very tall and lanky and it will take time for his body to develop the way it needs to for him to become a good player for us. He was also bottom aged when we drafted him, so cut him some slack mate, give the kid time and he'll get there.:)

Why would they? He was always going to be a project player. Makes no sense to delist him then re-rookie him, especially as there's no guarantee that he'll last to our pick.

If he was rated a 70 odd pick last year, why wouldn't a club take a punt on him on the rookie list? Not sure what has changed in the last year for you to think clubs wouldn't look at him.

No way will Tiller get dropped off the list, kid is quality and a work in progress and I think he is only 17 or 18?

Will absolutely stay on the list. Bottom-aged 189cm player when he was drafted, and did have a pretty good game with the Bullants a couple of months ago. I liken him to Brad Fisher, although his kicking is much better.

The blokes I think will be in trouble are:

Adam Hartlett
Jake Edwards
Adam Bentick
Cameron Cloke
Jordan Bannister

Joseph gets upgraded onto the senior list, and Garlett can stay as our nominated rookie in 2010.

Meaning, we'll have 4 selections in the ND.

No way Tiller won't be on the list.

Gone
Edwards
Bentick
Hartlett
Bannister
Wiggins (should be but i don't think he will)

Fish is lucky he has a year to go on a contract

Wouldn't surprise me if we traded Jacobs. We have Warnock, Kreuz and Hampson so he might be looking for more opportunity. Both SA teams look like they could use a ruckman and from what i've heard there isn't any good ones in the draft.

I would also be surprised if we used more than 3 picks it is a weak year.

Now is not the time for Carlton to be resting on their laurels. Trading average players for mid range picks is an opportunity. Trading players and mid range picks for a 5 pick move up is what we need to be looking at. We still have a very average list highlighted and interspersed with some brialliance.

I think we've got a couple of categories here:

GONE (subject to list assessment v. pool):
Bannister
Cloke
Bentick
Hartlett (port for late pick?)
Edwards
---
Bentley
Pfeiffer
Stanton

TRADE OUT AND UP IF POSSIBLE (add a pick, a player; or delist if no offers):
Fisher
Johnson (But i think we'll give him another pre-season)
Anderson (Brisbane)

Shouldnt discount a good player that someone might pay over the odds for:
Russell (Port)
Anderson (Brisbane)
Jacobs (Port)
Probably stay for morale:
Wiggins

Lots of room on our list before we need to cut Tiller. Tiller should be given at least 2 years to show something. if he spends all of 2010 in the B reserves then he'd be at risk.

one of the most moronic threads ive seen on this site.

first u call for this kid to get the chop without ever playing a game.

and you 'think' cam cloke would get a spot on our 2010 list ahead of tiller?

watever ur smoking mate i want some.

and to the person who asked if jr would be delisted you obviously havent heard the news cause now the bandwagon jumpers are actually on jordan russell. he ain't going nowhere
