For all the criticism we cop for our playing style, I know quite a few other clubs would love to have a coach like Ross. I've heard a few West Coast supporters even talking about trying to get him to replace Worsfold next year. Too bad he is contracted to the Saints for the next few years.
Wouldn't want anyone else coaching us, love the professionalism and consistency he has brought to the club. He has the team playing a great team oriented brand of football. Will hopefully be coaching us for a long time yet.
Freo were manic in that second quarter and most of the third - so manic that despite barely raising a sweat in the first, they were totally spent by the last. Kinda like Freo's era under Ross - they are spent, just as the Saints were in 2012 - a new coach and sheer quality of our A list kept us in contention - if our best were out and the coach who'd led us into the mess was still there we would have had a similar season.
They were bottom bound, but have got there quicker than expected. Still think at home, if they play like yesterday, but stretch it out a bit, they'll be too good for the vfl team they meet. Lose that and questions should be asked. But can't see that happening.

I know he has been a champion of the game but does there come a point in the season where the club makes the call on Pav or does he pull the pin himself. He looked genuinely cooked yesterday, can fault his endeavour but going forward decisions have to be made

I think Essendon are jealous of the talent on Freo's list right now.

Look who was missing from that 22. Our number 1 ruck, our number 1 and 2 inside mids, and our number 1 defender. Take that out of any team and they will have issues. This is compounded by our recent high draft pick fwd coming back from long term injury (Apeness) and our recent high draft defender out with a long term injury (Pearce), and our recent high profile trade Bennell out with long term injury.
Things certainly aren't rosy at Freo, but we do have an enormous amount of talent unavailable.

And yet Hawthorn keep winning without their captain, main forward and way more. How do you explain your utter capitulation whilst the Hawks continue to prosper?
Nobody saw this coming from your club, (well possibly John Titor
) and would think if you happen to lose again next weekend to a team in worse shape then yours that questions will have to be asked of all, including the coach.

Reckon the Swans could keep kicking on with as many injuries also. You Freo fans win either way don't you? St Kilda play for one quarter and beat you and you still have an argument you have the better list. Freo win and you get to mock us. Wonder what your thoughts will be next week if Essendon somehow knock you off......
Heck Essendon lost 12 of their best and even they have won a game this year.
Reckon we could have knocked Fremantle off by 20 goals and you would still try to convince everyone your team is better

Simple fact is that Freo's list was looking shaky in the 2nd half of last year. Remove Fyfe, Sandilands, Johnson and now Pearce from that team and you have a very average team - hence why we are getting beaten.

See this is the problem i have with freo posters on here
A tad earlier than this time last year i brought this up and was howled down by several freo posters saying i was full of it. They were adamant they wouldnt fall of the pace like the saints did in 2011 because their list management was a lot better than ours and that they had more quality kids coming through. But now this year theyre posting the same stuff they howled me down for
The reality is freo list management has been second rate for a number of years now. Their ability to manage the senior players game time whilst bringing through the kids has also been poor. It is only when their hand has been forced for them do they look like pumping games into the depth
If you take out a Brissy thrashing, your 2001 side was more competitive at a similar stage of the season with a far lesser bunch of talent and without the benefit of a so-called super coach.
In fact your coach seems to be a factor in this fall from grace, significant lack of passion being shown by mid to senior players, who seem to simply not want to be there now it is clear the premiership dream is over.
On a final note, I can understand Freo supporters getting defensive with Eagles supporters enjoying this shamozzle, but at least allow the Saints supporters to throughly revel in the karma bus leaving your club covered in tyre tracks.
P.S. Sandi buying on off-road motorbike yesterday indicates the wheels have well and truly fallen off.

You have such a victim mentality. Where did I say we had a better list. I have posted in multiple threads that I was impressed with your young talent yesterday having watched you live. I'm just reporting what I see. If you want to take everything as an imagined slight on your club then that's on you.
