Gerard flip flops his opinion with the worst of them. Had us missing after we lost to the hawks then has changed his mind about six times since.

I don’t think we will make it, our defence is weak and our gameplan is stuffed.
The one thing that isn't "stuffed" is our game-plan.

You don't have the second highest percentage, the most inside 50's, or be the highest scoring team in the competition with a stuffed game-plan.

Melbourne and port Adelaide will both loose this weekend but they’ll both win next weekend games but Geelong having 2 easy games at home will see them come in and knock port out so yes Melbourne will make the top 8 with a better percentage

Lost 5 games this year with an inside 50 differential of +10 or greater, and we are one of the worst teams when it comes to conceding a goal from an oppo inside 50. We have a high percentage because we hit good form against crap sides, if you don’t want to see the issues with how we play when we vs a team we can’t blitz on talent alone then that’s not my problem.

We all know the deficiencies, but to say the highest scoring team in the competition with the second best percentage has a game-plan that's "stuffed' is mind-bogglingly stupid.

And that's not my problem.

Why are you quoting our points for without pointing out we have the worst defence in the top 8? We can’t ‘dominate’ the game much more than we already do but we still get little reward, if we are to take the next step as a team we need to change what we are doing to try and improve converting F50 chances + making it harder for oppo inside 50s. If you regularly control the game but can’t convert any of it against top 8 sides on a consistent basis then yes your system is clearly not working.

Melb percentage will probably save them in the end. However if they lose this weekend, port win next Friday night, demon supporters will have a tough period waiting till Sunday.

The day Lever went down our season was over. We've tried a defence without Frost, with Frost, with Petty, and even Pedersen came back last week. Lewis and Vince are slow and Hunt had a horrendous year.

We play a helter skelter game-style where we're rarely out of 5th gear. When we turn it over we're vulnerable out the back and lack elite key defenders.

I'm aware our defence is an issue, but I take umbrage with comments that our game-plan is "stuffed".

We do plenty of things right and most top 3 contested footy teams who excel at inside 50s, marks inside 50 and at clearances are nearly always at the pointy end of the ladder.

We've won 12 games. How many games would we have won if Viney and Lever played every game ? We'd be top 4.

Btw, I think we need to play more tempo footy than we do at times.

I think our gameplan is fine. We've been dominant across the season in most key stats. Our goal kicking is what's let us down most of this year.

Agree with this. Two losses to Geelong (one Max should've kicked and then they win it after the siren on the other) and kicking accurately at goal against the Swans (10.18 to 13.9) and everyone would be talking us up cause we'd be even with West Coast in points and be sitting 2nd on the ladder. Our game plan is far from stuffed. Not having Viney, Melksham, Hibberd and Lever is what's stuffed us.
