What do you guys think?

There seems to be a growing whisper that Tarrant might be trade bait at season's end.

As a WC supporter, we'd probably be pretty keen.

Would Daniel Kerr and a 2nd rounder satisfy you?

doubt it. he's a token player for collingwood. ALthough his figures this year and his performance hasnt been as high profile as his 2003, his second efforts and attack at the ball has been great. Still takes the best defender from the opposition, and despite getting r*ped week in week out, and the quality of delivery inside 50 over the season, still manages to get his 2-3 goals a week.

He averages 3.2 tackles/game this season, which is his career best. If he can maintain that, and get his other figures up next season, he'll be lethal.

IF he was to demand a trade for arguments sake.... id say kerr and a first rounder would be adequate.

or judd ;)

A worry of mine for many years due to him often looking like he's not enjoying his footy. But he's still only 24 with a lot of footy ahead. Would love to keep him but you do need to trade good players to get good players and if we're after that quick midfielder then Kerr would be a good option.

Supporters are the foundations of a great club which is why we are the biggest club in the country.
Don't be picky for christ sake

Pretty sure he is under contract for next season. So you would think Taz would not want out.
Thats the best way to trade them stops them cracking the sads and going into the pre season draft and you get nothing ala Stevens PA

Too much for an overrated hack. A first round pick is worth it

Ports idea of a fair trade

1st,2nd,3rd,4th round pick for a second rate midfielder (Carr)

Port is another Essendon, don't deal unless they rape the other club involved

Hope we never bother discussing a deal with them ever again

If tazza is fully fit, he is without a doubt collingwoods best player. If he was to go, which i doubt it. Only cousins or gardiner would do.. or judd :p
The thing is though, altho he doesnt have the facial expression that he cares. im 100% sure he loves playing footy, and with collingwood.
Just look at nathan brown from the tigers or chad flether both look stoned 24/7. i dont get the seriuos look going either with work or sport.
All the leads, goals, marks, tackles, hits etc 1st 2nd 3rd even 5th efforts tell me he loves it.

Just remembering presti running down sampi even though presti gave him about 8 metres start ;)

Fev for Tarrant?

na, wouldnt really be interested.. would love to have fev but not for tarrant.

thats not to say tarrant is better, but i think tarrant does more to help those around him when he's not performing the way he's expected to (ie, goals, marks)

fev has a habit of completely disappearing. We have enough of those :)

Dependant upon the depth of this years draft hopefulls. If Collingwood finish last and have a priority pick (picks 1 & 2 overall) then trading Tarrant for Fevola could be a good thing for Collingwood.

Pick up the two best young midfielders and a 60 plus a year goal kicker for a 30 - 40 goal a year player.

If the younger KPP's Collingwood have picked up over the last two years can fill the CHF role then Tarrant with his leading up the ground would not be required. And of the two (Fevola & Tarrant) Fevola is a much better close to goal player.

Thanks for your insights, but no thanks....Fevola is the last thing Collingwood needs, if we waste a pick on him I will be fuming....

No chance of that deal going down, midfielders are much easier to find, tall forwards are not. Now if Judd wants to come home I'm sure we could work something out besides, I don't like the thought of a nice Victorian boy spending time with all those wannabe GANSTAS!!!
