AFLW 2024 - Round 10 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
Good win in the reserves
Willy 19.22 136
Coburg 13.13 91
7 goals to Galea, 3 to Stack and Keddell
4 for Coburg to Polak (glad to see him playing)
polak kicked 3, 2 of the ground and one from a mark. did jack in the second half. no influencnce on the game well held by boumann
I only heard the last couple of minutes of the game and bits and pieces of the after match wrap up. Grant kicked 3 and apparently took some very nice contested marks. Also, I thought I heard them say Wight was very strong in the backline. Made mention of a look away handball from Cordy which showed his obvious class.
Any chance of a complete review?Everitt was great - chopped off a number of forward entries and spoiled well. His disposal was great and he went forward and kicked a ripper goal.
Wight was ok - he did get led to the ball by Chris Bryan on a number of occasions which is a worry, but he also spoiled well and worked pretty hard.
I wonder what would happen if someone pulled out at the last minute.
So Everitt, Grant and Reid all played. They are our 3 emergencies. Surely couldn't fly one of them over tonight. I wonder what would happen if someone pulled out at the last minute.
While the radio guys do a good job there is no substitute for being at the game if you want to gauge how players are travelling:
Wight - very few highlights amid many mistakes/poor decisions
Lynch - one spectacular leap for a mark (not paid) and one impressive run through the middle. Otherwise couldn't get near it.
Grant - big motor, very impressive
O'Keefe - BOG
Reid - solid
Everitt - solid
Skipper - beaten early by Cam Wood but finished clearly on top
Cordy - flashes of class and brilliant
Murphy - a class above this level (obviously)
Wood - Plenty of confidence, did well, but lacks the experience to go with his confidence at this stage
