I have it on very good authority that the WCE board have voted and the wings will be returning in 2016. Submission to the AFL will proceed in the new year*

I realise that it's baby steps and the wings are (rightly) the focus for now, but once they're in, what's the general feeling about the eagle head logo? Personally I reckon the original logo is far superior to the current one. It's simple (four segments in the two club colours), unique (I reckon the current logo is far too similar to the Hawks and Adelaide) and has 80s appeal. Plus the vicious beak and evil eye. What's not to love?

I actually like the new logo. I think the original is still better, but I reckon it might look too bland these days with just the 2 colours (blue & gold) I think the ochre colour fits in well. I also can't see the club moving back to the old logo, keep it for heritage/anniversary guernsey's. Mix the old with the new, wings, new head.

The next step for our logo IMO is to just drop the body and keep the current head with updated font for "West Coast Eagles". As much as I love the older head, I just can't see the club going back to it.

There is plenty of retro stuff that sells pretty well so I think hate is the wrong word. There is a lot of money tied up in the current logo so I would imagine it would not be phased out any time soon. I really like the new logo but that’s just personal preference.

As long as it's not that abomination that's floating around on the FGDB, no offense to who created it, but it's just horrific, and people on there saying it's great and we should use it! Please no.

I'd like it to be something like round 1 every year we wear the peril with the old head, just for a bit of a throw back to our first game. Even if we still had to deal with the white clash 2 or 3 times a year, wings the rest of the time, and then peril as a special round 1 thing. It could be something pretty unique I reckon.
