Yeah my boss is also a long time member and when I told him what we were up to he said "I couldn't give a **** what they wear"

But they have been few and far between. I reckon we're up against it.

I am worried about the tri panel staying, especially these kids that have only ever known the tri panel way of life. We need it gone. We need the rest of the BigFooty community to help us out here for a bigger and better cause. I already told the lions folk that I would vote if their jumpers ever went to a vote.

I've successfully brainwashed my kids into knowing the Wings is the best jumper, and that tri-panel sucks - despite the fact Tri-panel has been our home jumper since before they were born.

Not all kids will have been so wisely educated however.

I wonder how many of the players actually care what they wear week to week or are just doing this as a good will type thing?
Regardless great to see so many get more awareness of the cause out there

I would say McInnes and Brennan would bleed for the wings. Wellingham has spoken about the love of the club as a child. Then theres obviously a few others that grew up loving the Eagles before being drafted. You would also have the football tragics that would want to wear the jumper the premiership stars have played in. I remember how Ash Hansen spoke about wanting to redevelop Subi because he loved the fact that legends of years gone have run around on that ground and made it special, so it would be safe to assume that some would have that feeling towards the Wings.

Might be a good chance to contact Gary Stocks and say, thanks for putting up the poll, but that is not really what we were after. The whole idea was to use the current away design, as the home with navy if needed and peril for away, not to have a bloody vote on whether we like the old eagle head design versus the new tri panel!
