Little worried about Carlton moving up in the draft... do they have their eyes on Fin O'Sullivan OR Sid Draper. There will be meltdowns galore if they pick Draper at 3 ahead of the Crows.

Tigers surely go for a few Future picks. They wont be drafting 8 or more kids.
Not bad for pick 81 though, outlast a lot more earlier picks and even 1st rounders.

Richmond the obvious big winner despite the fact that they are in for years of pain they had no choice and got significant overs for departing players. 14 for Baker simply astounding.
West Coast could have gotten a lot more in the door so to me the biggest losers. They are not much further than Richmond in terms of rebuild but look at the difference in draft hands next 2 years, especially when Richmond live trade out their later first round early second round picks for futures.

I understand what you are saying, but they finished wooden spooners and won two games.
Difficult times have already hit and those players were actively looking to greener pastures.
Rioli will be 28 next year, Baker 27. They have the majority of their careers in the rear view mirror. Bolton is great when he's switched on and in a good side, he's not putting a side on his back and giving grunt any time soon.
If it ends up a year-long stretch of belting after belting, that can leave a big mark, but it doesn't have to be that way and the point remains:
That was their starting configuration, and they traded incredibly well against that backdrop, plus it is apparently a year with a deep first round. Or they can stagger it.
It is obviously not ideal and you have to feel for Yze a bit, whether he will still be around when the rewards are reaped is iffy.

Adelaide got in some handy players who are ready to go for a pretty modest outlay. Flew under my radar at least.

The trades will look OK if we win next year's premiership. Houston is a good pick up but our lack of young talls forward and back is a worry that the club has not seemed to keen on addressing. It's going to be a very boring draft for Collingwood supporters but an exciting one for the clubs with multiple picks in the top 30.
The Collingwood faithful will howl you down on that particularly that our trading was conducting with not needing next year's first uppermost in mind. If he is not round one then we have made a mistake throwing away yet another first round pick.
Draper absolutely ticks all the boxes for the Blues
And he would arrive with the twins which would be great in helping him settle in.
We do like dealing with young Reid though, maybe he might like to make us an offer to swap picks 3&4 …
