I'm going to go batshit crazy if my supermarket doesn't sell any cheap shitty kitchy Australiana rubbish this January. Obviously I'm not going to buy any of that crap, but boy will I call up some radio stations if I don't get to walk past it in the aisle.

Two comments about pride related merch in a row now.

Either you're coming out to us, or you're trying to make a weird swipe at the gay community.

I support all groups represented by the pride colours. I trust that Woolies will be passing on my half-priced dollars to causes for the gay community, asexuals, people of colour, transgender, gender nonconforming and/or undefined, intersex, the queer and trans identities of black and brown people.

If they did, your keyboard would literally catch fire.

Everything is woke.

And somehow it's always the woke lefties that try to cancel everything they don't like.
Everything isnt woke. Only woke things are woke.

And just because some people mistakenly use the term for other things doesnt make everything woke.

If you apply that logic to any political hot topic words like socialism, racism, violence, capitalism then all these words would cease to have any meaning. But they do mean specific things. Misuse of them doesnt change that.

The problem with woke is there are two specific meanings. The original meaning of being "aware and attentive to racism". The word didnt really catch the publics attention with its original meaning and was largely used within niche circles.

The second meaning refers to a shorthand label for identity politics. Which again, is a very specific thing. Most people who disagree with the concept of woke are usually referring to the second meaning. I.e. they disagree with identity politics. Not the concept of being aware and attentive to racism.

“Any of it” you mean the greens goal to lock up the entire country from outdoor recreational users
It was private land, not the locking up of any existing land that the public could use.

Hysterical cancel culture at its finest.

The key here being 'private' land, not state Forest.

Last I checked, you weren't allowed to go camping/4WD/hunting/fishing on someone's private property without permission anyway.

Wokeness also includes political correctness. Language, behavior, or policies intended to avoid offending certain groups. But it can come at the cost of free expression of ideas or the search for scientific truth.

For example, academics of archaeology have pushed for publications to no longer show photos of any remains of dead people, and museums to remove such displays - because some cultures have superstitions around those things. I would have thought a warning might be sufficient, leaving scientists free to discuss evidence from bones - about diseases or injuries that might tell us something of our ancestral past.

Have you got a link for that?

What labor are doing with parks victoria and closing parts of the Grampians off is disgraceful! Hopefully labor get the ass at the next election and madness stops. And Pv needs a complete overhaul from the top down.

Can you be more specific?

There's been recent bushfire closures.

There's also closure of some rock-climbing sites in the Mt Arapiles park north of the Grampians, due to them being historically and culturally significant. Alongside additional funding to improve tracks, access, facilities etc, so it's not all one way in any case.
