Why though? What defines someone as a RWNJ? It's just a meaningless insult to cover every aspect of the other side of politics, and most frequently used by the very same people who think 'woke' is a meaningless insult.
I personally don't use RWNJ because I'd rather deal with the specific topics, than vague insults (such as the use of "woke"). That and I used to have many of the views I now argue against on this and other threads, so it's not simply a matter of intelligence differences, or being crazy/not crazy.

When continually faced with bad arguments it can get frustrating, but I don't see using "RWNJ" as a common insult as helpful.

OK, so a more serious answer, and reflects only my opinion (similar to "woke" now, theres probably a variety of opinions so the "truth" in so much as any truth would be the aggregated median of multiple views)

A RWNJ believes
  • culture wars are more important than anything
  • valuing individual freedom and individual choice to the extent that "as long as I got mine I dont give a flying about others"
  • hypervigilant about having extra responsibilities (which they reject) or losing perceived freedoms (eg freedom to abuse others verbally without consequence would be the current set point, though in the historical past they would have been unhappy at losing the "freedom" to physically assault others - eg gay bashings, lynch mobs)
  • for the religious ones, that having religion and following their religion means that all choices they make in the name of ther religion should be protected and exempt from secular consequence
  • belief in smaller to no government (low to no taxes and low to no services) - though are also noted in times of crisis to cry for government assistance
They hide their racism about 'secure borders' by linking it to crime or homless statistics, but refuse to try and fix either of these problems separately (either crime or homelessness) or acknowledge both these are a bit more complex than just immigration

Are anti abortion but again can not engage in things that either avoid the pregnancy or help the child once they are born.

Are pro their free speech, not others free speech. They are happy to say offensive things and call the offended woke, but are easily offended and usually claim some morale high ground they don't have.

Are anti trans and hyper focused on small %s, like there are 2 trans women in women's Prisons or look at that 1 trans athlete in the girls high school swim team, they also want to ban gender affirming treatment which would make is easier for these kids to play sport, but also then punish them because they went through a puberty as a gender they didn't want, because the RWNJ didn't let them

The duplicity on Govt and handouts need to he said again, they'll happily slander anyone they perceive as getting a handout but get upset when their own hand outs are noted.

In short they are by enlarge selfish and ignorant and completely hypocritical

Yes, thanks for that, that expands a lot of what I meant by "culture wards" (the anti trans, anti abortion and border security/ monoculture approaches)

There is certainly a lack of principles, almost a dual personality, around much of conservatism when it comes to things like free speech. For those in power, or with large voices through media and special interest organisations they will often of course have, or pay for, abortions themselves, live the lifestyles they want to live, despite using the same issues as weapons in culture wars. And they will break things just to point at the wreckage and say "see, that's bad!" Much easier to win elections, have power, when you can distract people from what you're doing with their money, their productivity, their futures.

Spot on.

I forgot the main one, they are anti democratic.

Only their party can make the country better, usually by enacting racist or bigoted policies. The other side ruin the country!

We live in a democracy, we need two parties or preferably more.

Does anyone fit your definition of a RWNJ, or is this a list of right wing things you don't like?

Does anyone (besides Mark Latham) fit your definition?

A spectrum is a spread of data of varying amplitudes with a beginning and an end usually. So there would be a “middle” point where the left and right sections are the same area.

The rest I tend to agree with you on.

I'm certainly a nutjob, and probably lean more to the right, but I don't fit your definition.
There is a difference between leaning or even being right wing and a RWNJ.

For instance I am at my core Anti Abortion, however I am not such an arseh*le as to push my beliefs of others and I am capable of acknowledging that in our current environment why a woman may choose to abort and also intelligent enough to acknowledge there are many many medical reasons to do so.

See the difference? Conservative view, likey right wing view, but overlaid with common decency to others.

A RWNJ doesn't get that.

There was a poster on SRP who met a few (the lower government libertarian, though I don't think he was religious)
More seen in real life
  • the religious moves for "religious freedom" in Australia
  • gun lobby and hicksville USA attitudes

Shows that bigots will take advantage of open rules.

The options aren't "ban or no requirements". There is a middle ground.
Shows that the rules are already creating a mockery of female sports and now this guy has completely blasted the record held by a trans female mind u, out of reach of any female or identified one even. Smashed the record by nearly 100lbs.

It was a protest against the current rules. Here he is doing the peaceful protest.
