The year Aka won the Brownlow, McLeod missed out by on equaling Aka by one vote. Was BOG in Round 22 by a mile that year and didn't receive a single vote. Robbed him of at least sharing in a Brownlow.

Ian Perrie got a 1 vote infront of Tyson Edwards, Knights and Goody
Look what AFC had to say:::
Ian Perrie collected one vote – with eight possessions and one goal. Perrie was given a vote ahead of Edwards (33 possessions), Goodwin (30 possessions) and Chris Knights (29 possesssions)

WHAT THE!!
Tyson deserved that 1 point

Not saying Perrie deserved the vote, but we have become too reliant on stats being what decides votes. Possessions do not count for everything.

Just like to say that in that Freo game Campbell was definately a match winner. Tarrant could have gotten the 3, but was consistant without being spectacular.

What's so bad about that?

Who else did well for the Hawks that day?
The Crawf one is not the worst but it is significant in that it cost him the Brownlow. Noticable because it happenned in Round 22.

It is not very often that a player on the losing side gets the 3 votes. Crawf had it happen against him twice that year, including Round 22. He lost the Brownlow by 1.

round 22 1987 WC v SK in Eagles first season. Steve Malaxos got 48 touches (22 kicks 26 hb) opposed to Geoff Cunningham. Votes: Malaxos 0 Cunningham 3
