I have heard that Wyndhamvale had been trying to recruit some players from Werribee Centrals 3rds side who won the flag in 2008. Good luck to them but i think sadly all the Centrals boys knocked back the $40 a game contracts

I know North Sunshine's tall ruckman is not going to be playing this season. He said he's in his final year at Uni and needs work on Saturday to ern some coin.

You might be heading there at the right time.

They have got some pick ups that will surely win them a few games in Divvy 2.

Luke Dennerly is a massive pick up for them, and a step in the right direction. the first step in that direction that Wyndhamvale have taken in a while.

They might get a few blokes that left when the club fell apart the other year. Could be a couple of fringe or former spotty players joining him in his new caper.

Appointing Evans as coach was the real step in the right direction in my opinion. He brought a level of 'professionalism' to the club that i'd never seen before.

May not have shown last year, but he joined late in the pre-season.

Expect the Falcons to be movers in 09', Dennerly is obviously the big singing, but they will also gain a few gun youngsters who made an impact while topping up as u.18's last year.

Playing my 5th year at wyndhamvale, last season was no doubt the worst of them all. Pre-season for falcons started 10 weeks after every other club was up and running. There was also a stage when i thought the club would not survive at all, but it was good that Evo and a few other committee members stepped up and ensured the club would survive.

This year looks promising with a few recruits with the likes of Luke who will provide leadership on and off the field. Training has been excellent led by Evo and a few leaders at the club.

Won't be making any predictions but will at least be competitive all year. Should be a good year for the falcons!

what about off the field.............

those absolutely disgracefull opposition change rooms are terrible hope they will be fixed or let us into the old ones........not even a bloody shower in there..........

wydemvale will still be bottom 2, parkside, nth footscray and deer park top 3, and albanvale, laverton to make up the top 5 with yarraville and coburg just missing out. parkside, nth footscray and albanvale to be the top teams in the reserves

Wyndhamvale will need to pick up alot of "handy players" to be at least competitive in divvi 2, last season they were absolutely disgraceful and even the Western Magpies sides of 2004-2007 wouldve beaten them.

I like Parksider views of the top 5 except North Footscray will finish top, Albanvale 2nd, Laverton 3rd, Parkside 4th and Deer Park 5th. Quite similar..

Looking forward to Season 2009, North will be the team to beat!

your kidding if you think his soft! easy target to pot cause of his hair do but he never runs away from a contest

i just played a whole season with him and never saw he throw one from behind once! i seen plenty of people in the opposition crowd having a go at him and a heap of opposition players trying to hook him too.... i was there when he threw em back too.. but he never threw one from behind when a bloke wasnt looking! thats even worse than saying a bloke is soft cause your basically calling him a dog ! like i said he is an easy target with a 3 foot afro on his head tho! haha

so what is the definition of a SOFT footballer then ?

mmmmm soft footballer???? probly that mint dude from nth footscray ;) soft as

I hear alot of good things about every other team in divy 2 except the brookers, they were stiff to miss out on finals last year, and have had great turnouts to pre-season training led by our new coach, i would not count them out of finals calculations.
