yep thats him mate, he is a good player.. lee braun is a gun as well good on him for wining it, suprised chicky finished 4th (should have been higher if u ask me) and that dude from wyndnvale didnt even finish top 10:confused:

I thought it was a great effort on Ross 'Cougar' Hedley to finish in second spot. The guy is 45 years young and still shows up many of the younger players. He was in front with one round to go and got beaten with a BOG by Braun in the last round. I think if he had played at least 2 of the 5 games that he missed during the year, he might have pulled if off. Having said all that, well done to Braun, who obviously had a great year in a side that lost more than the won.

hay boys can anyone from the hights clear somethink up for me!! unshore if its true or not but herd there may have been a bit of a fall out at there preso night and a 5 or so boys have walked out and looking else where? any truth?

not starting rumors budd just asked a question!! i was told there was thats all

Nothing wrong with asking it is a footy forum.

All at Heights couldn't be better. The coaching appointments are the same Bomber coach and Mick Grima assistant. Paul Muscat has decided not to coach the reserves to spend more time with his family thus we are seeking a new reserves coach. The position will be advertised in the near future. (anyone interested pm me).

Yes there are some thinking of moving on of their own accord next year. I know they will realise that the grass is not always greener. All those that I know of are all good blokes and more than just team mates to the boys.

A mid week meeting of the coaching staff and club officials has placed in motion plans for a united and strong club for 2008. Hopefully it will be an exciting and enjoyable season for all.

A former best and fairest winner looks like returning to Heights to play and we are waiting to hear from an experienced gun defender who is very knowledgeable in the coaching field. If he decides to join our fantastic club he will provide an on field coaching and leadership role which will be very handy.

Presentation night - besides the usual wild antics, the dancing exploits of Nazza and Nick Caruana, the raffle prize of 51 pairs of underpants (1 female) collected/ripped off on grand final night, the eating of a full chocolate pudding desert by Matt Caruana in one mouthful it was a pretty standard night.

Also met somebodystopme who seemed like a good bloke. I gave him an autograph and he seemed happy with that lol.

Well done to Lee Braun on winning the league medal. Is a gun player and seems like a good bloke. Seems to have been around forever although is still quite young.

Can't wait for 2008. Hope there are many competetive sides.

typewriter was just curious as to rumours floating around that possible recruits from a div 1 club (who have been playin ressys cause of lack of oppurtunity) are coming down and you may have coached them in your younger days???

i was talking about the rumour al eyes heard stating that heights players might be leaving and going to north footscray.

the boys i coached r all a great bunch of kids with a lot of potential, that may or may not have been realised at their clubs, and if they wanted to come back and play for the dragons we would welcome them. on the other hand im sure all eyes will back me up on this 1 coming from division 1 reserves doesnt automatically make u a good div 2 senior player, u have to work hard and play good consistant footy.

I agree with you there but a good consistent player in the ressys at one of the better clubs in div 1 would be a very handy in a senior div 2 side..... in saying that have you been in contact with any of your ex under 18 players??? i.e regarding next year as you are need of a few more key position players from what i read???

i keep in contact with most of the younger boys that ive coached in the past. i speak to the boys from other clubs a few times a year. as i said dennis a few of those boys have alot of potential and although i dont speak for bomber i think i can confidentally say they would be welcome to come down to ainsworth. they are all good young kids who would fit in quite well down at the dragons lair. key position players dont grow on trees and imo height is something we need to move forward.
