Glen orden have Ballan at home tomorrow. Not sure on a time.
seniors at 1pm, will be there tomorrow to see this superstar team Nick Diker and Louie Elevato have put together as they would want to perform of they will look like the biggest bunch of flogs for all the money they have spent to sign blokes and pretty much buy a flag! put a lot of pressure on themselves but time will tell.....best of luck to them

Might just ask big w what makes you think we are spending lots of money, as far as i know we are spending the same as the last year. And it is no more than most division 2 top sides would spend i assume, But far from over the top.

Well

If my memory is correct we went up last time we won the flag and had a crack at 1st division for 5 years,We have had a good off season and recruited well, But who is talking about winning flags in march, Should only be cricketers talking about them.

Wouldn't look to far into the result at GO today. Was told that they have 8-10 walk up starts out of there side. As for how much clubs spend and buying a flag, some clubs are more fortunate than others in that the have the natural feed from juniors to seniors. Im sure copthat, you are well aware of the demographic in the Birdsville area and understand that they seem to be limited in the amount of juniors they can recruit to the club. So has the club done the wrong thing by chasing Diker and his staff who all have long standing relationships with nearly all of there recruits of the last two years? As far as juniors go they have welcomed John Temuskos who from all reports had done a great job of retaining and recruiting for the 18's and are also extremely confident of having a 16's.

I love the buying a flag analogy.... Get on the Ovens and Murray forum and get into Yarrawonga for signing Fev.

Good luck to them if they have the resources! Why are so many players out today? Who can we expect to play from the new guys? Will Adam Yze and mooney be playing ?

Not sure about Yze and Mooney. Not sure why so many guys aren't playing. Not good though. Would have thought they would want all there new blokes to gel. Could guarantee that given the chance at the business end of the year that Diker would jump at the chance to go to div 1. Who wouldn't? Would South Laverton? Oops I mean Sanctuary Lakes?

I must say I did laugh about south laverton....
But on sanctuary lakes and spending money! It surely has to be in the backs of people's minds that all clubs in div 2 have spent money (and some clubs alot of money) yet sanctuary lakes isn't giving a cent out this year.....
It's going to be a bit sad if any club loses to them wouldn't you say? Money lakes really wouldn't want to!!

Well it shows you don't need juniors to be able to throw cash around to try to buy a flag, you just need sponsors and people/family around the club that have money!

How come everyone is mispelling manor lakes?
Not misspelling they are facts those players don't come cheap.
Parks played west coburg good hit out lost by 20p with some big names missing fab, fluffy, bobby, lexy,mo new boys played well Matty Pearce got leather poisoning Harris good pick up

Sunshine Heights lost by about 6 goals to East Keilor yesterday, East Keilor did kick the first 8 goals of the game so it was good to see Heights force there way back into it. I think the rain in the second half helped heights once it became a contested game as East Keilor looked very young and skill full. Think heights still have abit of work to do if they want to be playing finals.
