Parks definitely didn't have the flu today. Pretty solid display. WV just not good enough.

Had a look at GO vs Manor Lakes. Wasn't as onesided as the scoreline indicates. Glen Orden are better though. When they go forward, they score something. Storm still had plenty of it but just tried to play too quickly. They won't beat GO in a shoot out. The bottom 6 or 7 players hurt Storm also. A handfull had little or no impact. Yze is a different cat. Its all about him. Jesse Fortune is a Jet. GO full back #20 is handy and had the goal celebration of the day. Shagga Hunter was best for Manor Lakes for mine.

Totally disagree that Bektash is a gun, he's just your average fullback at that, GO midfield does not allow easy ball in, that's where all the other sides fall from grace.
A question I throw to everyone is what players from d2 would be able to play a much higher grade of footy?

Couldnt be happier being a parkside supporter seeing us smash YES smash a slow and big wydnham vale team yesterday, espically when vales talk themselves up so much they have choked once again in the big games! There ruckman worst kicking style ever and has the worst discipline, he trys to throw his weight around doesnt work when your ten minutes late to every contest! so many hangouts who dont like getting there hands dirty 8,14,19 are the worst ever they leave it up to there good players in number 7,18,6 in the midfield, big 22 up forward was there only winner up forward everytime in went to him seem to mark everything, i dont no how 15 gets a game didnt like the attention put to him by our backs and 31 up forward surely there is better players than him his bigger than a double door fridge can only be on the ground for 5 minutes at a time surely theres better options than him in the twos or on the streets that can run more than him!
All in all cant wait for money lakes this week might of got us twice this year but we are coming for you this time GO PARKS

I have seen quite a few games this year and going on the performance alone from the games I have witnessed, I am going to tip Parkside to win the flag. I really hope for my mate Nick Diker, that he is able to go on and win the flag with Glenorden but I think Parkside will win based purely on what I have seen.
It now comes down to who shows up on the 8th to actually want the win more than the other really.. Never the less, I think most sides, probably top 6 deserve to be in the position they are in. If and when Division 3 comes into the comp, Albanvale, Sanctuary Lakes, North Sunshine, Laverton, Braybrook and West Footscray all fit! Throw in Tarneit Titans and maybe a Rockbank from RDFL or wherever Werribee end up, and that will give them 8 or 9 in Div 3.
It makes for an interesting 2014....

Paul "Growie" Growcott to coach West Footscray
Gary "Smackers" Turner to coach Burnside and is said to be talking to an RDFL club.
Chris Gatt to coach Caroline Springs
Rohan McKenzie has applied for 3 roles and hasn't heard anything so looks to be retiring from coaching all together
That's all I have heard from the finished clubs at this stage.

Not a personal hater just a realistic observer, you can't tell me that glen Orden is very midfield orientated and they have 8 players who can go in there and do there team role, the pressure around the ball users of your opponents week in week out are elite, I personally think that without them your defensive would get showed up.
Personal opinion and seen enough games of there's to stand by my comments

Gee you come off the long run here. Lol. I saw the game yesterday and thought Parkside were good I thought it was a good game that in the end blew out which is not a good sign for windemvale. I think both teams did have a crack and but Parkside did it for longer and they found and released there loose players a lot better than the wv. Bit harsh with the comment about 31 (evans) as I'm sure he had at least 3 opponents and was actually one of the few that I thought could say was a winner for wv as he never stopped even when the game was obviously over. A fair stretch to call him a fridge as I do believe big mo is probably the size of kebab caravan lol but both players as a big guys have been great all year from all reports.
Pearce was great for Parkside as was Thomas and I think #25 is it Vincent? Every time they were at the end of the ground I was watching from, he was non stop talking and instructing a very handy player he was. Parkside had to many marking forwards and controlled the ball better than wv.
I was sitting a few cars from a big group of manor lakes supporters or players at the freeway end and they were obsessed with bagging wv even when Parkside had it won. What is the history were they worried about playing wv because I would have been concentrating on seeing the team they are going to play not trying to give cheap comments to a team that was obviously beaten. That alone would tell me Parkside will smash them next week.
On wv they obviously have the makings of a good side but where to from here? Can someone shed some light if Dennerley is coaching next year or do they try to go out and change their list? A few finals series in a row without winning one and a really strong reserves by the look at it.
Anyway I think a Parkside and glen Orden GF with Parkside to take the chocolates.

2009: Parkside undefeated all year... up at half time by 21 points. Choked...
2010: Parkside up by 22 points in the GF at 3/4 time.. Choke and Lose
2011: Didnt even make the prelim. Choked to the Vales
2012: Parkside up at half time in the GF by 14 points. Choked and lost.
in the last 4 years, Parkside has made 3 GF's. Lead all three at either half time or quarter time, and has won as many flags as every other club stuck in div 2!!!!!!

Any talk of WV talking themselves up is bullshit. If it comes from outside then that can't be controlled.
Parks too good but are they too good not to choke again this year? As another poster suggested, any talk of choking coming from those associated with Parkside is a laugh. Legs seem to get little bit rubbery at the big dance. ML will probably mug you for your ticket so you might wanna relax a bit.
