My Thoughts
Parkside: Best coached well drilled and great depth only the one hiccup but will be challenged by falcons & the hawks for the flag buttigieg is a handfull in div 2 and has great class muratore as always has been good barbuto has been a huge pickup no real spearhead but boast three of the top ten goal kickers which is a credit to the way they use the footy, still the pick of the bunch as they are the best defensively but not alot separates them from their rivals.

Glenorden: Great first half of year undefeated when a lot wrote them off with off season clearances and are a better team then last year in a stronger comp however few injuries creeping in to their talls if they get a good run with injuries can definately go back to back. Zangari straightens them up and has gone to another level and scudamore leads them well and crae is a classy onballer

Wyndhamvale: club that has been building for awhile and has a great crop of kids coming through play great footy and can torch opposition sides with their pacey haf backs and wingers they pushed parkside in a cracker and we will know more when they play their neighbours on Saturday. Oshea has hit the scoreboard in a big way but they have a few avenues to goal with graham causing teams massive headaches. Nayawella the Sudanese boy can seriously play as well they will play in a prelim anything can happen from there and the bigger grounds come finals time will suit them.

West Footscray: In the mix and they should play finals from here they would be sorely disappointed to miss with some of the talent they posses. Disappointing loss where pantsed by the pies on the weekend but on their day can push the top three and have pretty good depth which is probably the reason they find themselves in the 4. Yze has had a great year and should kick the ton again they posses the best ruck in the comp in Kennedy their mids are strong over the footy but don't have the pace or class of the top 3 but make up for it in grunt and effort any coach with half a brain would still be concerned about Tobin who still gets plenty of it and Adam yze is a massive X factor in the back half. They can definately win a final.

Caroline Springs: in the mix for finals but need a favourable draw like the devils both sitting where most saw them maybe a touch higher have pushed a couple of the top sides but where taught a lesson by parkside haven't quite found the consistency otherwise they would be in the 4. Word is lakers have a few good kids coming through but from what I have seen they lack depth to hold them up on a consistent basis. Buttigig-Clarke is a spearhead and been a good get but they rely heavily on him to kick them a score Richards experience gives them a good platform down back. Mids Caterino has real wheels and Ryan gets plenty of it.

North Footscray: personally a little disappointed but realistically not a bad year need a favourable draw and probably need to knock parkside off this week and big wins against tarneit and sunny heights. The devils we're disappointing in each of their previous meetings with top 4 teams copping hidings each time but have shown glimpses of great footy but haven't really hit their straps after a great win against the lakers early injuries have not helped but again don't have the depth of the top 4. Lack the firepower of the other sides up forward Cavka has stepped up but their strength is their depth of on ballers led by sammy Kater. Need help with injuries and draw their percentage is also an issue.

Manor Lakes: Huge disappointment injuries have had an impact but nonetheless the season has been a write off and finals are now gone beat the hawks early showing they are better then the ladder suggests only to be stripped of the points. At the contest and stoppages have been a major issue have been beaten soundly in these areas don't posses great power through midfield and strength of compitition this year has shown this. Still play a good brand of footy and have some good kids coming through the storm spread well when they win the footy and use it well going forward. Priest has backed up on last years efforts and is one of the best forwards going around Tobin is also a damaging footballer and can hit the scoreboard pinch hitting on ball, hunter has also impressed. Their season is done develop their kids and trying to build towards finals next year.

Sunshine Heights: Lack the quality of other div 2 teams and leave it up to a handfull each week positives are they stay up. Stevens gives them a target up forward and has kicked some bags nicolaides gives them some experience in the middle and lampi showed a bit early looks a good pickup. Hopefully bring through some kids look towards challenging next year.

What's this I'm earring that wrfl will draw out divvy 2 and 3 fixture out of bobs hat,how is that going to work?
well if they drew it out of his nose, they would need miners permits.

That's the way it should be. Only teams that would be unhappy about this are the ones struggling anyway, any team worth their grain wouldn't give a rats who they play
Think like a winner.... Do you think the best teams care who they play in any sport? They do what they do and take what comes before them... It's always the shit-kickers and 'losers' that look, hope and wish for luck, things to go their way and equality... Just make it happen and get on with it

I hope that the WRFL get it right with some teams only playing 6 home games in the first 13 and that they get 3 home games for there quota of 9 home games for the season...wonder if they have realised this

Carro will have played 7 after break,I thought they would have reversed the draw?Eg.
We played west round 2 away so round 14 at home
Round 3 nth footscray home so play away round 15
Round 6 manor lakes away play home round 16
Round 7 Parkside home play away round 17
Round 9 sunshine heights home play away round 18
That would give us 9 home games for year.

Agreed. Not only for the fairness factor but a lot of clubs rely on home games to generate extra cash.

What will be, will be. The fixture is out of anyone's control fingers crossed the wrfl get it right!

Moving on to this week, what are everyone's tips? Shocking weather could create an upset or 2? For what it's worth this is how I see it panning out..

Manor Lakes easily over Albanvale by 80
Caro Springs too strong at home for Braybrook by 90
Sunshine Heights to get up on the bog at Laverton 70 points
Parkside to have too much class for North 70 points
Sanctuary lakes to make it 2 on the trot by 100 over nth sunshine
West Footscray to bounce back hard will beat tarneit by 150
Match of the round Wyndhamvale will issue Glenorden there first loss by 6 goals.

Didn't really learn much from the Hawks Falcons encounter we didn't already know. The wind reduced it to a genuine scrap. Will be interesting to see how Zangari pulls up, crucial for the Hawks

What happen to him?

So as we speak are we thinking only 3 teams can win it with outside chance to west?
Suppose we ll know more after rd 12 when west and glen orden play

Helped off with a leg injury fairly late. I think it's a race in three but I still like the class of the Falcons.
