Well done West. WV looked flat all day, last week looked to have taken a toll on them.

Parkside favourites, but anything can happen on GF day.

Congrats on west winning today can't wait to see you guys next week against us should be a cracker game!

And I think I speak on behalf of a lot of people on here that they are SO happy to see Wyndham vale go out in straight sets, to soft, to many front runners, to many sooks when nothing goes there way! No leaders, captain wood would have to be the worst leader in the comp! Whoever is no 32 for vales worst player just tries to hit people behind play! Why didn't luke den play either? Rumour is soreness poor if that's the case!

Well I hope someone from vales could tell us the real reason why he missed? And if you think wood is a good skipper you wouldn't know much about football then he doesn't take control as a skipper doesn't talk on the field at all couldn't hear him today at all when the game was on the line!

Unless you were on the ground you'd have no idea what he was saying to his players. Just because he doesn't rant and rave, doesn't mean he doesn't have other qualities that brings the side together. There a few players louder than the captain on Parksides team, does that mean he doesn't say enough?

Congrats to wests way to hard at the footy today Kennedy put on a clinic & had way too much firepower for the falcons down fwd. Oshea was extremely well held and the falcons mids had another quiet day (graham, Ellis, Fonua etc...). Bray was excellent for the roosters & Newport bagging four really stood up along with yze down fwd. Outstanding effort by wests who have had plenty of doubters no point knocking what they are doing a good effort to play in a gf all the same and deserve to be there, have the big game players to get it done look forward to hopefully seeing a deserved a final next week best of luck both teams!

Wyndhamvale (summary)
All in all good year from the falcons who continue on their gradual improvement as The plan seems to be under Dennerley. Great year if you consider their win loss and the development of some of their kids Oshea has put a stamp on the wrfl with a great season, along with graham who was a huge part of their success throughout the year. Also like the look of bunworth looks a classy player. Probably not a great way to finish the season their last month they seemed to hit a bit of a lul maybe teams figuring them out, early days will be one of the favs to reach an elusive gf for the falcons in 2015 normally not a huge team signing players may look to bring a bit more depth of onballer to help graham and another fwd target would be very handy.

How are these blokes? Carry on all year, West won't win a final, bunch of nuffy misfits etc. now they've won two finals, the best you've got is to tell GSW not to get too far ahead of himself?
Spare us your rubbish and giving us nothing and stick to the division 3 forum where your club is. Blokes on this forum make predictions and never revisit them for us to see how good they actually are.

Parkside go in huge favourites next week, but they've got a history of going in to Grannies as hot favourites. It should be a cracker next week!

Good call. People make poorly informed comments about leadership because they only have a half a clue about what it is to be a leader. Wood gels the team together but doesn't have to yell and puff his chest out to do it. Wyndhamvale don't have the budget of other clubs and at the moment, that's the difference between them and a grand final berth. Nothing to do with leadership.

Who cares who pays what... The only thing certain I'n local footy is that spending money doesn't always garrantee success but not spending it garrantees failure (ask the div3 clubs). As long as clubs look towards the bigger picture money will always be a crucial part of how a club achieves it's success along with bringing through talented kids and holding onto them. Parkside have put together a quality team recruiting players from leagues such as edfl & division 1 wrfl among others, they are players that can take a team to div 1 and prosper there. Wests have recruited inside the league many of which have been the best players in the league in previous years as well as getting players like bray from Geelong league a very different approach to that of parksides but it will still see them play in a gf.
All in all it's not all about the money it's using it wisely and getting the right mix there is nothing wrong with spending money and recruiting heavily it is just the world we live in
Now please can we get back to talking footy it's a massive game this Sunday!

Congrats to both teams and coaches hopefully a cracker game the midfield battle will be where it's won and lost especially for wests they rely on taking the ball away from the stoppage on the back of the dominance from Kennedy in the ruck. If they can win the battle at the stoppages and stop parkside from setting up behind the ball it will allow their potent forward line every opportunity to kick a winning score. On the other hand if parkside can break even or win at the stoppage their superior kicking skills will give limited opportunity for wests to hurt them. Parkside boast the best back setup & plenty of options up fwd that will cause the roosters all sorts of headaches.
Key players:
Parkside: Muratore (gun & great leader), Buttigieg (classy user), Barbuto (Gun & sits behind footy sets them up)
West: Bray (great at the stoppage, strong), Kennedy (best ruck, great grab), both yze's ( X factor?)
My tip:
Can't go past parkside best team all year & gave the roosters a tune up last time they met, noted they have had their troubles getting it done on the big day however think this time they will get it done and knock off wests by 20 points.
Medal: Grigg to bob up & kick 4-5

There is no boasting or anything like that. No one rated West & now they are in granny! Great effort if you ask me. Also can confirm that figure of player payments is no where near what you think. Most are on base to bring the club to where it has the potential to be! The club are pleased that we were able to beat Glenorden then Wyndhamvale when most tipped otherwise. Come Sunday and I'll leave it up to you to decide how hard West go in. Big bodies which always go hard at the contest is what west are all about! - As I said I'll let you be the judge!
So.....Again, another final with Parkside who has the pressure all on them.. It is them who have made granny after granny to lose at the last hurdle & stay in div 2, where's West on the other hand have gone from winning four matches last season to a GF in 12 months & will keep most of the list, if not all - with basically everyone signing on...
The club continues to go from strength to strength.
Well done to all involved, super effort & we shall give it our best!

It will be a cracker this Sunday.

West- biggest key undoubtedly Kennedy in the ruck giving their on ballers first use. Stoppages and the midfield battle will be the difference.
Bray strong over the footy. Trowsdale must provide run, and break the lines, only real one with genuine speed. Questionable back 6, with Parkside having so many potent forwards, how will they stop Grigg, khartibil, Kelly, Stevens and Licciardo and co from kicking 15+ goals?

Parkside. Their biggest asset is their bottom 5 players, quite simply they don't exist. Seem to be incredibly strong on every line. Barbuto, Buttigeg and Muratore will find the footy regardless of what attention they are shown. Biggest asset are their outside ball users that break the lines. Jason Shaw has been a fantastic pickup and gets plenty of it. His speed and terrific ball use could cause problems for west. Questionable, will previous grand final loses come back to haunt the magpies?

Parkside deserve to be overwhelming favourites. They've played some of the best football we have seen in division 2 for a long time. Extremely well coached, and by all reports the playing group are as thick as thieves. My prediction Parkside by 48 points.

Firstly well done to both clubs for getting to the GF. There were 4 fairly evenly matched teams this year so just getting through was a challenge.

GSW give it a rest mate. There is no way in the world that 15 blokes came to west this season to be paid base and just help the club reach its potential (unless base is $350 a game)? Are you one of those that are on base.... the Yzes, Kennedy, Bray, Lindsay all on base? Considering you shopped yourself around to multiple clubs in the off season (including providing them a DVD of your highlights) I doubt that you signed for base.

I have always been against the ridiculous player payments in local footy but that's just my opinion. If you are at a club that clearly decided that the way forward was to somehow raise a heap of cash and go out and buy as many players as they could then just own it. Don't get on here and pretend you are all playing for the love of the club that you have been at for 2 minutes.
