Zzzzzzzzzz

You say numerous clubs yet quote 1 club.. if you think what happened at Lavo is ok, that's fine but I don't. I think a number of people share the same view.

Why would I imply that about our coaches? That's illogical and just plain ludacris..

Contribute something decent keyboard warrior your credibility is dwindling!
Only thing dwindling is your finals hopes

And by the way, the 18 weeks for the U19 player from Newport: a player was on the ground on his back in a headlock, our hero ran in and stomped on his face. Hospital put the teeth back in. What would he get for doing it the other side of the boundary fence I wonder? Three months inside?

if it was on the other side of the fence there'd be 20 cousins to assist

If true the player should sue for damages and assault. This shouldn't happen to anyone.

What an absolute joke !! The league is a disgrace
Bet ya if it happened to cloke or lake the bloke wouldve got life and they wouldve made a big deal about what an amazing job they've done to protect there players blah blah blah
Farrrrrrrking digraceful WRFL

This league has always been weak. You would expect the club to impose a bigger ban or suspend him from the club indefinitely.. The league should have handed down a life suspension or 10-12 weeks "if" he was found guilty..

Does an u/19 count as a senior in AFL Vic's eyes?

If not then he is free to play at the end of suspension. As its 16 weeks of Senior suspensions

Hence why more and more clubs are struggling for juniors or to fill reserves sides !!
How are we meant to entice blokes to play with shit like this happening when they could quite easily work and earn a few hundred extra ??

Was informed the club told him he was not welcome back but app he was down there on the wekend drinking cans and laughing about the whole thing (wasn't at the game myself but have heard this from 3-4 diff people)

Direct email from AFL Vic:

"Please see attached the National Player De-Registration Policy.

As stated in this:

Only suspension periods served by a Player after attaining the age of 16 years will count for the purposes of this Deregistration policy.

Yes the limit is 16 weeks of suspension."

Edit: Unless its a first offence in which case the WRFL and AFL Vic sit down in eighteen weeks time and decide if he is allowed back in. No idea if he's been pinged before since turning 16.

Here's a thought...
How about the AFL sit down at the start of every year with an education package for all clubs and set out a mandate that outlines that there is no room for acts of violence on the field and that any malicious acts will result in never been allowed to play football ever again?
May take a year or two for the message to sink in but it will clean up every league in Victoria not only the WRFL

We are talking the AFL here, they don't have the balls to do any of that

Important thing is that Newport doesn't allow him to play again (and nobody else does either).

Like the thought, but if these players are willing to do this in a game of local footy they probably wouldn't turn up for any meetings at the club. I see they also won by a huge margin yet do this type of thing. Disgrace and if I was the league I would inform the club if 1 more incident occurs within the year your whole club will be thrown out. Yes it's harsh but shows a strong stance towards acts like these..
