Loading the entire bankroll on centrals for the ressies flag. Dominated all facets of the game in appalling conditions. On a dry day would have won by 200+

"Tarneit had 1/3 of their Seniors on a club imposed suspension" - wat?
Out at GO it was the word going around. Evidently a bunch didn't go on some camp or something, so they were stood down for the first round? Sounded like BS, but it was being shopped around.

Pretty hard to take much out of Saturday. If you believe the rumblings, Tarneit had 1/3 of their Seniors on a club imposed suspension, Heights had more scoring shots and found a way to lose by 2 goals, and although Centrals and Norf had a heap of scoring shots, the wind changed directions so much, it was hard to tell who was getting the advantage at times. At Glenorden it was almost as though the wind was howling towards the Centrals goals then changed at quarter time, LOL.

How were you at two separate games?
Laverton were well and truly torn apart if you take the touchy frees that led to goals off their total.

Adelaide laughs?

Lucky the Tarneit coach wasn't coaching Melbourne, round 1 would have been a forfeit. Looking at the results and considering the weather don't think we really learnt a lot from Round 1.

did anyone go and watch glen orden play on the weekend? i am curious to know how they looked as i have heard mixed messages about them. Can't really get a gauge by looking on the wrfl results either as i think someone from the club forgot to submit goal kickers and best players!!

cheers blokes.

their reserves looked a bit of a mess, would have thought the wet conditions would have helped but they struggled. There seniors looked pretty sloppy but the wet conditions defiantly helped them, kicked 5 goals in one quarter. They were taken to the cleaners in the other quarters, inaccurate kicking hurt centrals

Did you see that Hawks v Heights is the WRFL game of the round and it's on radio?
What a joke, the Central v Suns game would have been better or even the Anzac Day game.

I know you blokes will shoot me down again (and that’s your right) but I think only div1 should be the main broadcast game. Maybe 2nd half of the year when the ladder settles you could maybe broadcast an important game in Div2 or div3 but otherwise div1 is the best footy and should be rewarded. Plus they would usually have The biggest memberships so more listeners would tune in..In all honesty how many people are going to tune in to this broadcast?

Nah mate I totally agree.

Only if sharpy was still at the wetlands, would be more entertainment for the radio broadcasting the 12 rounds he would put in with crea.

I agree who listens to it?... but then again I think they should commentate and stream the match. This way people can watch on their phones live or even watch later on.

Most people interested in listening to the games are at games or out & about so not close to a radio.

Where it does make a difference is at the game itself. It's cool watching the game and hearing the commentary at the same time.

Would also appeal to those desperate for a footy fix but trapped in a massive traffic jam somewhere in the inner west where you can get reception.
