New dashboard has rolled out for insiders and its so much better than the crap we've had for the past few years.

The hell are Xbox/Microsoft doing recently. Just want some good first party exclusives, they just can’t deliver!!!
They have just mismanaged their studios so poorly for around a decade now. I had the thought that nothing has changed so far so why should I persist with Xbox. Traded the Series X in for a PS5 back in Feb.

Love my series x but I’m getting that vibe too, game pass is great but they’re just stuffing everything else up. Seriously they’ve been poor since 2013, Phil did a good job to get them out of that mess but PS are smacking them silly still in terms of games

It's ****ing shit, I'm very pro Playstation with my gaming but have the series x and just begging for a game to suck me right in, finding no value in gamespass.

There is so much about my Series X I prefer over PS5 but like others have mentioned there is nothing drawing me. It doesn't help that a lot of my friends are on PS5 so I default there a lot, and then I usually get Game Pass stuff on PC. So much for Microsoft acquiring all of those developers a few years back. We should be nearing the end of a development cycle since then so surely there will be something to show for it soon.

It would not shock me if MS walk away from gaming by the end of this gen, especially now that the ABK deal was blocked.
See I thought about that, about the idea that they could be pushed to become third party software devs.

But they can’t even get games out the door as it is right now lol. And the whole reason why Microsoft created Xbox is to limit Sonys market share.

Even if they continue to release consoles with poor game line ups like the One and Series X, they will still sell 30-40 million units (unless they somehow do a Wii U and alienate every consumer).

Their main bargaining franchise, Halo, is on it's knees too, i'm not sure there's a bright future for it.

I think Netflix are getting their foot into the gaming door as well. I think Microsoft/Xbox will just release a gamepass dongle to plug into TV's and that'll be it going forward for them.

They just can't drop games, i mean wtf is going on with the new Fable game?

It really is an odd one. I've only ever owned PS/Nintendo consoles (and, to be totally honest, I wouldn't really call myself a Nintendo fan either), so I am very much on the outside looking in, but I can't say I can really remember a time where something Xbox exclusive has really tickled my fancy. I thought that might change with the dev acquisitions - and there's still time - but so far it feels like they are just continuing to struggle getting anything out at all.

I know the endless "console wars" shit probably makes this feel like an disingenuous post, but I genuinely want MSoft's games dept to strengthen. Since the trouncing that was the beginning of the last generation Sony have gotten extremely complacent and become a shell of their past selves in terms of customer care. Consumers really need both to be strong to force the best product.

The reason they wanted to limit Sony's market share was because Bill Gates thought that Playstation could potentially replace the family computer and kill Windows. That obviously never happened and never will happen so I doubt that motivation is still there. Personally I can't see them wanting to continue to invest billions but only reaching a small amount of people but we'll see. The next few years are going to be really interesting.
