Kenny's reign has always been carefully calibrated to lure the ports punter back into half believing when you've written the campaigners entirely off. We missed finals last year. None of us buy it yet this season. Therefore we'll win. Peeps will start windmilling and, well, you know the rest.

The tickets are just a picture of a code. As long as the scanner can see the picture, you can tattoo it on your ass and it'll work if you want.
Only if you've got buns of steel. The barcode/QR code needs to be the on a non-stretch surface. :)

Big night for Ollie Wines.

Had that knee surgery at the end of last year which slowed his pre-season and he's been slowly building in to the season.

Now is the time Ollie, stand up young man.

It will be a 'taking the temperature' game for us to see where we are at against a very good side.

Interested to see how the midfield goes. I want to see them lower their eyes kicking into the F50.
I am a bit worried about the centre ruck and also a resting ruckmen in the forward line kicking goals.
Petracca might play more forward.
Tom Sparrow is a bigger loss for them than you would think.
It will be interesting to see a team who can damage us on the board and if they do, how we respond.
They have a lot of avenues to goal. I'm worried about Fritsch and have memories of Kozi being the game winner last year.

Hopefully we don't play super negatively but just play our normal territorial game with stoppages.

Unfortunately we probably can't measure where we are at from this game. We are missing almost our entire forward line against probably 2 of the best key defenders in the comp. Lever and May will intercept everything tonight.
You arent wrong, but a top tier team would find a way. It will be Carr and his assistants biggest challenge yet.

I've got my lad's volleyball game on at the same time as the game so, annoyingly, I'll miss the game, the game day thread, and even score updates as I'll be focused on coaching my own team.

I'll only know the result after the fact, which I hate.

Will be interesting to see if we simply back our midfield to win more stoppages than them while getting dominated in the ruck contests. Or will we try and minimise the number of stoppages, keep the ball moving and don't let congestion build up. Will there be a plan other than work harder for longer?

I love our games. Two perpetually pissed off fanbases going head-to-head to see who can melt the hardest during primetime, with both teams at 7-2 while not really proving anything yet this year. What's not to love?

May the worst team not win, and the melts on either side be glorious.

How are you pissed off??? You won a flag only a couple years ago. Its been nearly 20 years for us.

Remember when Rooch tried to claim Si and the Dees as another example of ‘staying the course’? Lol.

I suggest reading our autopsy thread after the game, regardless of the result.

If we lose, the melts are a given. But if we win, there will still be shitfights about team selection/Goodwin playing favourites, our key forwards, our midfielders not knowing how to kick/selfishly accumulating empty stats, the bloated contracts we've given to plodders such as Brayshaw etc etc. Plus you guys have went ahead and fielded your SANFL forward line this week, so you've taken any potential joy away from the majority of our board haha.

2007-2017 scarred our fans beyond repair, so we're basically just waiting on inevitably falling back into the abyss, lol.

After selection night, we've shortened to $2.25. Can't see us justifying that sadly. We really do look makeshift at both ends, and will rely on clean clearances for any ascendancy.

There does seem to be some spark amongst the playing group though, and there are several witha bit to play for. I think we'll be competitive, but outclassed. Narrm by 30.
