Had to catch up on a few.

How Don was watching the GF and walked out at half time. Walked out from his lounge room.😂
haha you are wayyyyyyyy behind.

Loved Don in the Michael Zaraffa part where Zaraffa said he would propose to his GF once he won a world championship (fight in Dec apparently). Don cracks the shits and goes that could be years away!! god i love that man

hahahahha.

Max and Fiona have been excellent. The guest have been great too. Pretty diverse selection, but wouldn't mind having a retired footballer guest on again soon. Surprised Derm hasn't been on it.

All caught up. The podcast is the best it's been since before Mike left imo. Good to hear AFL/sport get more of a run now thanks to Max who has got me listening full time again.

"What about that one on the wall over there?"
"Madam that's our fire extinguisher."

The kid was a precocious shithead who reminded me of Max Fischer from the movie Rushmore.

I enjoyed how he was mentioning how he's really tried to elevate his language to sound more professional etc and then referred to Don and Sam collectively as 'yous'

Found it interesting that sam took offence to the thespians who were upset/outraged over shane (wayne) crawfords elevation to the lead role in joseph and techie colour d-coat stage show. I can see why those who trained and dedicated their career to hopefully snaring a lead role arent happy.

* assuming crawf has not trained and studied the art

You are not familiar with his work as Hank Bolger?

Martini on the rocks.
did laugh at that. haha

"I examined what type of language I was using...how i could extend on that language i was using and making it a bit more advanced English"

I have just listened to a part of it and immediate thoughts:

  • trying too hard
  • trying hard to be mates with sam and don (or sammy has he calls sam)
  • speaks very quickly with not too much substance (ready for afl media)
  • faux pas liked I have typed out above.
But then i thought he's 15 years old, talking to "celebs", he's gonna be nervous, he's a teenager for all intensive purposes which lends itself to speaking quickly and spitting out words/phrases that aren't grammatically correct. So all in all, good on him for having a go!

Good discussion about the harrison petty. we can understand sam dons era where anything goes, but today in this "woke and sensitive age we live in (S Newman)" you cant. Sam did say that nothing racial came from his mouth which you gotta respect (even though some of his contemporaries may not and and call him woke).

Sam said men who pretend to be women about 5 times, That is totally transphobic language.

Noted with interest that he heard from someone that the AFL are bringing in 4 umpires/game next season and 2 of them must be female (quota). i dont recall mentioned in the media (50% women umpires). I think sam was reaching for something here. But sam did say he takes it back when max corrected him. But the conspiracist feels that he knows its not true but can plant the seed in listeners minds it will propagate and the thought will grow legs

It's not transphobic at all. He also said multiple times that he doesnt care what people want to be identified as, he just disagrees with a biologically born man playing women's sports(paraphrasing). I agree with him.

Each to their own, but humans born MALE should not be allowed to compete against genetic women in professional sport.
