In the spirit of Mark Williams, I have decided to dedicate a thread to all the people who were wrong about Collingwood.

The idea springs from a quality thread on the main board where a lot of people have been made to look very silly.

Use this thread to find posts, articles, youtube video's, ad's, statements etc etc etc that were clearly WRONGGGG


I'll get us started...however, I haven't gone to the effort to find the actual links to the articles.

Today, it appeared at the announcement Malthouse was happy with the arrangement, but a reader poll shows many are still unconvinced it will work in the long term.

Most poll respondents (57 per cent) thought the deal would be “one big personality too many”, when asked whether the pair could work in harmony.

The rest (43 per cent) thought it was “a dream partnership”.

Don't do it Bucks - Tony Shaw

Earlier today, former Magpies coach Tony Shaw has warned Nathan Buckley against taking the assistant coaching role under Malthouse.

But speaking on Radio 3AW this morning, Shaw said the move to anoint Buckley as the team’s next coach while Malthouse was still in the role was “untenable”.

He said both men had “dominant personalities” and that Buckley was a “massive competitor”, who would be unwilling to wait more than three years to take the main job.

Scundered!

But can they win? I doubt it. He simply doesn’t have the leadership group and players with goal-kicking power to match it with a team of Geelong’s calibre.
And the threat of the Colliwobbles always looms. The Pies can’t shake the wobbles from their psyche. How can Malthouse help erase that crushing mentality?

I'm one of them and I thank Christ for the sunset on his tenure for Ball & Jolly but in the end everyne like me who said we wouldn't win a flag under MM was proven wrong.

He repeatedly said On the Couch that we can't/won't win the premiership.

I'll also give a shout out to that spud Gerard Whately, who likes to sound like a statesman, but is just another biaised spud journo. He also said Collingwood can't beat Geelong and are scared of them. Even after we beat them in Round 19, he said Geelong were holding back and had a few things to introduce for the finals.

Oh really, Gerard? Like a an embarassing smashing of epic proportions perhaps!?

These coaches: Ratten, Lyon, Thompson who all had excuses for why we smacked them in the 2nd half of the year and didn't give us the credit. Put simply, we were way better.

I would prefer to have a control freak premiership coach who is in the midst of training a replacement than a series of traitors or people who have jumped ship all at one time leading to a club of complete instability.

In short, Frank, you were completely wrong about the Buckley-Malthouse move, and completely wrong about Bomber Thompson and Gary Ablett. Both are now GONE, along with McCartney and if Hinkley gets the job, watch out for the Sanderson move.

We should add Plugger35 as well.
