I know its a soccer thing but love for the Roos to introduce this anthem before games. Its such a great inspiring song that could create a certain atmosphere niche for North.
Imagine supporters geting a standard blue scarf with your membership and then being encouraged to hold it up while the song is played prematch. It looks so spectacular and think it could be a great way to bring in new support. Ever sen a Celtic game its amazing site to see 30,000 people in unison creating a green wall singing.
It could be payed straight after join in the chorus what do you guys think??

Well I'm a Liverpool fan and i here this song probably 30 times a year and it sends shivers up the spine especially in the champions league semi final against Chelsea but North fans are a lot different to Liverpool fans. For starters Soccer fans all sit together. There is no mixing of opposition fans thus they can all join together as one huge choir. Also Anfield is packed to capacity for every match giving it a huge atmosphere. North just don't get the numbers to create such a buzz. And probably the main point is Aussie rules fans don't sing at the football. We have a cheer squad that chant the name North Melbourne and that's about it.
The cultures are just too different.

Not necessary for all supporters to sit togeter or for the place to be packed. It would still create a great atmosphere as for aussies singing at the footy the song wouldnt be played during the match just before. Have you been to the football?? Join in the chorus is sang every week.
Shouldn`t just dismiss ideas, i mean its not as if North Melbourne have a plethora of options to create a niche and perhaps encourage more support. Just think marketing wise a move such as this could create exposure and interest.
